You may not like Nick Wright, or Colin, or Bron. But Nick Wright speaks facts. You may not agree on his opinions but he always has facts facts facts to support his stance. Not like some other "analysts".
@jpnugent8957 жыл бұрын
its Dat Boi Nick and Chris are the best two to listen too
@sadjetsfan15847 жыл бұрын
True, but he is very biased and selectively chooses facts that support his point while ignoring the ones that don't. I.e. "Jordan lost in the first round 3x". He uses that fact to imply Jordan was overrated. "He played a 59-win Bucks team his rookie year, and went up twice against Bird's Celtics with 4 hall of famers". That's also a fact that shows you it was nearly impossible to win those series, but one that Nick neglects. Same logic: "Lebron has four finals losses". That's a fact that Lebron critics love to use. "Went up against a 58-win Spurs team as a 22-year old, lost his 2nd and 3rd best player to injury in 2015 against a 67-win team." Also a fact that adds a lot of context, which Nick would have zero hesitation using. The problem is, why is Nick adding context when it comes to Lebron, but not when it comes to Jordan? It's the same scenario- two legends facing insurmountable odds, but Nick uses it to criticize Jordan whereas he defends Lebron. That's the very definition of BIAS. This is why Chris Broussard is the best basketball analyst that Fox has. He's not like Skip, and he's not like Nick. He will defend both players, as he should, and be as objective as possible.
@DatBoi_YT7 жыл бұрын
i like your points but Nick says all the time "right now Jordan is the GOAT". Of course the main point being "right now" in his opinion it could change with time. I just hate the many many people are blind to the fact Jordan has failures. They say 6-0, GOAT. That is false, 6-0 would be playing 6 years and winning 6 titles. Jordan lost games, missed shots, lost play off series, missed game winners, etc. It seems like everyone has forgotten those things. Your points are absolutely valid, do not get me wrong. I think I enjoy Nick because he brings a different set of facts/opinions compared to everyone I've been listening to for many years that basically say, Jordan is perfect, hes the GOAT, no one can catch him, period. I think differently and Nick has the platform to say those statements.
@sadjetsfan15847 жыл бұрын
its Dat Boi, when a player retires, fans will remember the good things. That's why you don't hear about the failures, but the thing is there's never been a career failure where you could say, "wow, Jordan really fcked up". The closest is 1995 against Orlando, but he was still coming back from 2 years of retirement and still managed to drop 31 a game that series. All the other instances he faced superior competition but at least showed up to play. Lebron has only had one real instance where he just didn't show up, and that was 2011 Finals. Other than that, no reason to criticize him. So when he retires, that will slowly fade into a distant memory. The problem is, it's inevitable that in the next 20-30 years, we will get another generational talent who starts challenging for all-time great status. Fans of this player will start bringing up Lebron's finals losses to tear him down, or Jordan's first round exits, in order to prop up their guy. My point is- why do that? Why is Nick reaching so hard to tear down Jordan's legacy when his failures weren't really failures that you could pin on the guy? I get that he's frustrated with all this Lebron criticism, but he needs to realize that it's possible to defend Lebron without criticizing others for many of these same shortcomings that Lebron has had.
@sadjetsfan15847 жыл бұрын
Nick's also doing the same thing with Kawhi now. He's mad that people are comparing him to Lebron, and so he tries to diminish Kawhi's accomplishments as much as possible by spitting out facts such as Kawhi's career high in assists is 7. Well, Nick here's also two facts that you might be astonished by: in 8 games this postseason, Kawhi has a 37.0 PER and 0.412 win shares per 48 with a BPM above 12. That is absolutely mind-boggling. But instead of recognize this greatness staring in our faces, Nick chooses to ignore these facts and continue tearing him down. I mean, haven't we always been taught to see the best in people instead of putting them down?

Had he played out the game he would've gotten his 50. The potential to do it was definitely there a few times it's not like it was never close lol.

I find it hilarious when the comments are either, "there he goes talking about Lebron again" or "can't believe they are actually giving credit to other players". There's probably several reasons why this do this. 1) Regardless of "if" he is the greatest player these days, his realm of influence puts him up in conversation. Not to mention his records, titles, personal life and services he does for the community. 2) Views. Ever look at Colin's videos and notice there is a trend? When "Lebron" is in the title, similar to the way Westbrook is. The view count goes up tremendously. MVPs are buzzwords that attract attention. Simple as that. 3) Majority of the time, Colin and guests, do their best to combine facts with statistics & personal experience. If you're mad that Lebron's name shows up there, that says more about yourself than what is actually being talked about. 4) Colin has admitted that he feels the media has viewed Lebron unfairly and under the most intense microscope. He most likely is trying to even that out and give credit where credit is due. Also, he is also holding other athletes to the same level. I'm sure when Lebron has a terrible 4th, which he will in in an upcoming playoff game, there will be a video about him dropping the ball. Bottom line: There are a lot of great players in the NBA. If you truly upset with the frequency that Lebron is talked about, comment on some of the content in which Colin presents. Not a generic half assed "ohhh lebron.. bluhahah" Add something constructive to the discussion like, can he be considered one of the greatest when his free throws are a HUGE downfall for a closer. (seriously his free throws are terrible for his status)

That's not fair to say Lebron never got 50 in a playoff game since he's so good at passsing and winning. His passing ability and his mission to win prevents him from scoring 50.
@mikeslemonade7 жыл бұрын
Also a 53 point game with overtime isn't as impressive when he did score in the overtime also. So to me it doesn't count. He wouldn't have gotten to 50 if it wasn't for overtime.

Michael Pun - Bron cant have every record
@mikeslemonade7 жыл бұрын
Jordan and Thomas not even close to Lebron in passing ability. But also look at that list. Lebron still better than scorers like Kareem and Bird. And no it's not because I left it out. The list is about the greatest players who didn't score 50, there's no direct reason to talk about MJ. And it doesn't matter that it doesn't support GOAT Lebron. Lebron is overall better than MJ in many things. Even tonight he is shooting and making 3s in front players faces, something Jordan didn't really do.
@mikeslemonade7 жыл бұрын
Also Lebron on pace to score 50 tonight if the game is still close. He's been proving debate shows and casual fans likes you wrong all year long and all career long. Also also consider how efficient he is. Remember he shoots close to 53% in the field. If he shot more he would be in-line with 50 point scorers.
