@itshiho8 ай бұрын
@@Excelveen No it was about challenging you and bringing out your best. Smush had his highest numbers playing with Kobe and the Lakers. MJ told Kobe once he'd never be able to fill his shoes and Kobe didn't talk to anyone for about 2 weeks and that's when he dropped 42 on MJ and the Wizards in the first half. It's all about the challenge and seeing how you respond.
@Excelveen8 ай бұрын
@@itshiho yeah he may have been attempting to challenge people but doesn’t mean that he wasn’t being a douche, prick, arrogant a hole etc. . A few examples of that approach bringing out the best in people doesn’t mean it was effective or work for most. Just because he had enormous success in his career doesn’t prove that his approach didn’t come across as harsh, abusive. I bet there are many people who are not speaking about how they were left negative side effects working/interactijg with him especially since he was praised and loved by bball community especially Lakers fans and franchise for whom he made tons of money for. Lots of CEOs of companies are successful in their career, but have personality disorders, and often discuss similar approaches of “challenging” others by being extremely rude, public humiliation, etc. For example, the Jeremy Lin story about Kobe not speaking to him after feeling Lin “challenged” him. Kobe did not speak to him the entire season like a spoiled teenager, who had their cell phone taken away. That’s called silent treatment and a tactic used by many narcissistic abusers. I bet there are a trail people left with emotional scars, anxiety/depressive symptoms before the tragic end of his life. Giving people hell and being shtty to others doesn’t take away the fact he was great at basketball and winning. Just makes him kind of a crappy person to be around. Relax folks I know I can feel the rage and irritation already. With that being said I love watching Kobe highlights until this day! Peace
@itshiho8 ай бұрын
@@Excelveen Well the main players Kobe played with had their best basketball playing with him. That's why he didn't need a superteam to win titles like LeBron did. As for the negative scars that's just life in general no matter what but for me I just challenge people back instead of just sitting there taking it. All you have to do is say something like "What accolades? You ain't done nothing without Shaq" "I can make more FTs in a row than you". Then you use the psychology move and say something like "When I beat you because I challenged you unlike the rest of these guys don't be a b**** and try to get me out of here because you can't handle it, that's a b**** movie". You say that and now you won't get traded unless you suck. That's all they have to do, just play the mind games but instead people just do nothing and get butt hurt.
@Excelveen8 ай бұрын
That’s great honestly the approach of “just challenging people back” works for you. Most people don’t have that. I do disagree though in the “it’s just that simple” tone of your approach. Not everyone is able to do that. Also livelihoods are at stake for many and they are forced to comply and agree/stay quiet around energy from those who have so much control over their jobs such as Kobe. Again, he was a winner at basketball made huge amounts of money and did motivate others (although many were only just fans and were not subject to his abuse). Just like my CEO of companies examples there are millions of people out there that have been victimized. I agree many people are worst but not all for their own faults. if society was more accepting and and people were raised correctly we would have more people out their with a backbone and able to stand up against bullying, have appropriate boundaries, and have the self confidence to stand their ground. Unfortunately that’s not the case in this society and often the bully’s and abusers (physical and or emotional) often come out at top and are praised by many, leaving those other individuals(whether described as spineless, weak etc) or not were brutalized. Like you said it’s true this world is tough fckin sucks a lot and no one is guaranteed a damn thing. I’m gonna watch more Kobe highlights now
