@@2playschemeo.p.croutes724 we trained with NBA players and teams in the 90s and early 2000s, been watching since early 80s. The reason why is they didn't care for it. MJ purposely said he didn't want to sit there behind the line and shoot 3's. It make you lazy and too content and it really doesn't change the dynamics. Opposing teams can trade back with no D. When you attack the paint, you draw defensive fouls and get and 1s. This puts pressure n the opposing teams schematics and changes the entire dynamics. In our academies we don't teach shooting 3s. We teach them fundamentals, signature moves ATTACKING THAT PAINT! that iswide open with post moves, etc. Shooting 3s is easy, its just a freethrow extended out to the far perimeters. If you wanna learn it. I hate the 3! I rather go to the hole! you get more benefits that way and a higher percentage.

It writes itself--"Detlef Schrempf was a great player having a bad night, but you'll never guess what the GREATEST player did." Instead, you show Jordan and then Schrempf scoring 5, and then end with some rando who made 6. So it wasn't even the worst performance, and it makes the end of the video totally forgettable. During 80s the 3point shot was relatively new to the league and wasn't a major emphasis during that time. The ave. team attempting 3point shot has a grand total of 3.1 per game compared to modern NBA teams are shooting over 10X 3point attemps per game. To say MJ was a bad 3point shooter in 80s would be objectively incorrect. Because he was quite literally better than most of the 3point shooters within the league. In 90s MJ had 3point shooting percentage that was actually better than the league average. MJ has 35.4% from 3s compare to the league average that was 34.1%. As usual with MJ he was better in the playoffs and even better in the NBA Finals. MJ 3point career is 32.7% in the regular season and in his playoffs career he shot 33.2% and in the NBA Finals specifically MJ shot 36.8%. Kobe in 3point percentage in the NBA Finals was a career 31.4%, Lebron was a career 35.2% and Kyrie was a career 36.2% in the NBA Finals. In 1992 NBA Finals where MJ famously set the NBA Finals Record for most 3 pointers made in a half and tied the NBA records for the most 3 pointers made in the game. Most of you focuses on regular season but MJ was better when the games mattered the most. He was better than Kobe, Lebron and Kyrie on the game's biggest stage by a mile. MJs critics choose to ignore this facts.

You can’t expect Players Like MJ & A.I. KD to win these type of contests when they was pure scorers the 3 around this time was not important so showing this pointless show some more 2010s 😂

Hersey Hawkins. Detlef Schrempf. Dan Majerle. Jeff Hornacek. That is who Jordan faced in the finals.... I'm dead 😂. The best player Jordan went up against in the finals was Karl malone... who Rodman neutralized. Sounds like some some great individual matchups. Lebron James in the finals... stacked spurs teams... stacked dallas team... golden state... KD russ harden ibaka thunder.... literally none of Jordan finals opponents compare to any of those teams. Not one.

Standing still just shooting like that isn’t Iversons style but I’d still be good with him taking a game winning 3 anytime

Iverson is just an inefficient shooter we all know it he can score 50 but he needs 40 shots to do so

Lmao "inneficient" like Kobe in 2004-2005 when he had no talent around him. That was Iversons whole tenure in Philly. I don't want to hate you for the Green Ranger pic but you have no idea what you're talking about
@Youngster5432104 ай бұрын
@southbeachtalent All the GOAT scorers spent multiple years with "not talent around them" but none if them were bricking like Iverson. He just wasn't that good, get over it. He was 6'0 and couldn't shoot.
@SFXingful4 ай бұрын
@@Youngster543210 he was a very good shooter. He just took terrible shots. Same as Kobe, but Kobe was 6-6. Falling away and leaning sideways off the dribble, that type of ish is the hardest to make and at Iverson's size against the trees it's just logical that he had low percentages as the focal point of an offense night in, night out, in a league that still did not reward point guards for driving. He was one of the toughest and best scorers ever, period. He‘d feast in todays league on higher percentages, 100%. When he was in Denver his percentage went way up, why do you think that happened? He magically became a better shooter this late in his career?
@Youngster5432104 ай бұрын
@@SFXingful He was not a good shooter. The mf shot 30 percent on mostly wide open threes and couldn't even crack 80 percent from the line 💀. His form was awful too. He had 1 season in Denver where he didnt shoot awful, on a loaded roster where all the double teams went to Melo 😆. Meanwhile, MJ, Kobe, Lebron, Harden, Steph etc all have elite efficiency seasons even with no help as the only threat in the team. Jordan no help in 1988, 61 percent TS. Kobe no help in 2006, 57 percent TS. Steph no help in 2021, 64 percent TS, Lebron no help 05-08, 57 percent TS. If you need the entire defense to be focused on someone else just for you to score on 55 percent TS for ONE season you're trash, period. The mf was 6' and couldn't shoot a lick, all he had was a first step, that's it. He wasn't a great scorer, he was a Jamal Crawford level scorer who played 45 minutes every night and jacked up 28 shots. The end.

@@younglove3362 You missed the point, he’s obviously saying this with the context that Curry is a better 3 point shooter, so that makes him better than Iverson, not sure where your anger came from, but I think you need to wait for it to subside before attacking someone
