I have a new appreciation for the iPhones, the 14 pro max in my case , a few days ago I was in a car accident out in the country where my car took a decent impact and was disabled , myself and a family member where shaken but ok , I immediately got out of the car to shake it off and look around, I got back in in the car , my iPhone already had rung emergency services and they where asking if I needed help to which I replied no I’m ok thank you , she took my name for the record and I hung up , about 10 seconds after that my phone rang again , this was another family member that my phone texted to say there was an impact detected with my location, again I replied I was ok and not to worry. This built in very polished emergency feature alone in my book deserves a bit of praise . I also had an android phone that detected the impact , a prompt came up on the screen asking if I had an accident, which I had to press a button to acknowledge, but that is as far as it got , the iPhone just did the business as soon as I did not respond in X amount of seconds without asking . Well done Apple !

I have chrome and google apps on my 14 pro max , and while using the google search feature several times I have been asked if I’d like to give Gemini a go , that might be an option for you if you want to see if it’s available in your country? They could've given 8gb ram in iphone 15 and 15 plus as well, but they didn't because they are never consumer friendly and yet people defend that company. And i know what people who defend Apple will say "who cares about ai features?" If iphone fanboys just criticise their fav company, maybe they'll stop these anti consumer practices.

Many people have different needs for upgrading, whether it be 1 or 10 years. I too have the 15 Pro Max, and I will also not upgrading until at LEAST the 17, should the upgrades be sufficient enough for my needs.

Yes , the old eyes can be a bit of a factor and are in my case too , i`m in my 60`s and i always buy the biggest screen i can get my hands on , but i do like the big screens as well because i have pretty big mitts and large digits which absolutely sucks if you have to type on a narrow or small screen . Plus you get a bigger battery , and maybe im a bit weird , but i actually do like a bit of weight and a chunky case , rightly or wrongly , i have always felt weighty big solid devices have a bit more substance to them , i even prefer having a bit of bezel :) . My iphone 14 Pro is almost one year old and still at 100%. What battery degradation issue are you referring to? The heat issue the 15 had at some point will hit battery life hard too. In the ende, it‘s not to expensive to swap batteries. But many opt for a new anyway.

If you got the 15 pro max on release date it had shipped with ios 17. Apple released a software update since then to fix the problem. That was version 17.0.2. The latest ios version out now is 17.6.1. 18 will be released soon.

14PM > 15PM anyday interms of yr over yr upgrade and will have 90% of features of even upcoming 16PM other than the camera !!! I've bought 14PM last yr after 6yrs of using 6s and its holding up quiet well in terms of durability especially after heavy drops it just ended up with very few scratches similar to my earlier 6s as I use my phone careless !!! but heard 15PM isn't strong enough to sustain hard falls though in comparison to previous stainless steel models !!!!

If apple put a 3.5 mm headphone jack in it , to me that would be a feature of substance , AI just more software , big deal . But if you want it , all the best to you .

Nick, I have a question. I own the iPhone 15 Pro Max since November. I can say that I use my phone quite a lot. The battery health dropped at 90% . Is this normal ? Kinda I'm worried and thinking to upgrade to iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Battery degradation is normal especially if you’re cycling the phone a lot I recommend watching my video how I maintain 100 battery health to try to avoid faster drain, it is inevitable though. However at that rate you will probably need battery replacement by 2026 which is far less than a iPhone 16 Pro Max.

My other half has just got the 15 pro max, I have 14 pro max. There is no doubt that the 14 pro max looks and feels more premium out of two. However the finger prints are annoying. The 15 pro max also is WAY hotter in the hand. My 14 pro max runs cool, my others half’s 15 pro max is always warm to hot. Camera on the 15 or max is a little better, not a huge improvement, but they’re both amazing cameras. And that Apple intelligence would have run fine on the 14 pro max. It’s just Apple being Apple trying to make their new phone look more appetising. There is no doubt a 14 pro max or even a 13 pro max could comfortably run it.
