Whoever invents the first product that outputs HDMI from the DJI Goggles will make a lot of money.

@@pirateradioFPV There was a rumor that he just used a Wifi SD card to stream the recording to a PC and displayed it as it was being written. I'm not sure about how true that is and what kind of latency you could get with that though, it doesn't sound great in terms of latency if it is what he was doing.

dji has a product that can transmit the real time HDMI video from the dji googles and it "ONLY" cost's $750USD. the product is the dji smart controller that was originally desinged to control and veiw the video feed of dji drones like the phantom or mavic. you can hook the smart controller up to the googles with a type c cable and view the video ont its built in screen and its also possible to output the video from the hdmi output on the controller. so unfortunately not gunna be worth the purchase for most of us but if you already have one laying around to use with your dji drone then lucky you. the only reason i could see it being worth the money was if having it would make you more money then its purchase price.they did an update around 6 months ago that made this all possible but i really cant believe they didnt just originally design the goggles with an hdmi output, that was a huge oversight and the biggest let down of the whole system.

I typically give most of it away, I haven't done a giveaway in a good long while with the pandemic. We have two immuno compromised kids, going to a shipping place and bringing the virus home would be very bad. I think I buy a good deal more than most people think. Whatever $$s the channel creates I buy fpv stuff, I am not comfortable asking all the different vendors for free stuff. And I don't have time for every product.

Not with DJI, and it wouldn't have great long range reception. Use a patch antenna pointed in the direction of flight to get the best reception.

I just confirmed my order of the Moneagle then I received notification of this video. As Maxwell Smart would have said, "Missed it by that much". I still would have ordered the Moneagle but then you could have had a small slice. I wanted a monitor because I have been damaging batteries while practicing line of sight. Since I have no sense of time I'd keep going until it wouldn't fly. The thing that sold me on the Moneagle was recording format, screen size and resolution. Many products only had a couple hundred lines of vertical resolution; the Moneagle has 480. I think 5 inch is a size a couple of grandchildren sized people could watch at the same time. Record format covers many things and the closest I could get to what I wanted. The one thing I couldn't get was format and I wanted h.264. The only thing I found that produced h.264 was the Immersion RC PowerPlay. But it was designed for powering Fat Shark goggles and relied on the goggle's receiver. Everything else is still AVI format. In the future please state the resolution of the screen and recording format. I wish recording would move away from Apple's MOV and AVI format because video editors aren't supporting them as much because of their age.
@NickBurnsFPV4 жыл бұрын
yes, larger screens do allow more viewers at the same time. I have noticed with the kids at our house they tend to prefer to get shoulder to shoulder to view a screen over putting on goggles or even having their own screen to look at. Odd to me, but they gravitate to what they like and I can't complain about that.
