I ordered the Moblite7 HDZ ELRS and received the HDZ FrSky. MobLite7 ELRS is out of stock - BUT the Mobula6 HDZ ELRS is IN stock. Thank you for doing this upgrade series of videos, because now I can just order a 75 mm frame and tri blade props and I'll be fine with the Mob6 HDZ ELRS.

I still have a couple of whoops, though they rarely get flown these days. When I do fly them it's almost always the 75mm. Yes, 65mm whoops do feel a tad more agile, but the flight time just doesn't do it for me - I'm just barely getting into the flight and the battery is drained. 75mm is the winner for me. Nick, you do great videos. Thanks for this next phase of testing on this whoop.

Mob7 v4 is my favorite, it’s 1s and holds a 450, and u can use normal size gummies. Man 75mm seems like the sweet spot for hdzero . Awesome video as always 💪🏻also the 300mah nbd/tattu/webleed lipos are super viable on 1s 75mm if u add a foam adapter, they sell them on eBay for just this situation and they weigh maybe .2 grams so well worth it.

I'm pretty sure the frame with the 1s 450mah battery slot is the Mob7 v4 frame. The one with the 2S battery tray is the v3. I keep them separate in my head by remembering the Trashcan came out before the Moblite. I agree about preferring 75mm whoops, although the 65mm whoops I've tried with 35mm props are pretty good, too. Thanks for all you do!

Hey Nick, Race Day Quads (RDQ) sells solid pin ph2 connectors. I got a bunch and use them on all 65mm. But anything 75mm or more I go straight to XT30. Tinyhawk 2, Jacks 3D print 1s and HDzero 2 s 75mm build all use XT30. If you find a small XT30 connector set please let us know.

I took delivery of this 65mm hdzero mob 6. Omg it's great! Soo much fun! 300mah gnb get 2mins. Ideally would be nice if it lasted longer but not the end of the world. My analogue mobeetle runs for almost 5 mins on same batteries and same connectors. Strange.... guessing the hdzero vtx is a bit power hungry

I flown the mobula7 hdzero, but for me too heavy and too big for indoor. Your mobula6 hdzero is very interes. Only one in EU is the restriction to fly with 25mW what is really less for hdzero. And I use for my whoops the BT2.0 connector with 300mW tattu 1S cells that have BT2.0 too. Very good cells.

I still think 2s is the way to go to carry the weight : should receive my bundle in 2 weeks, I will be able to experiment. You should try, put on 0802 14000kv motors on the 31mm or 35mm frame. Fly it with a 2s 200/220mah battery, and it should rip!!

Hi Nick. I am doing a similar build with the BetaFPV FC (cross shape) but can not decide on this frame or the v2 frame. Have you tried bottom mounting the FC on this frame? P.S. the best PH2 connector would still let the battery sag and cut the video earlier than using the GNB27 connector.
@NickBurnsFPV2 жыл бұрын
I have not done bottom mounting on any whoop. Yes all ph2.0 have sag issues.

Hi Nick, thanks for all the videos. I just got my mob6 hdzero yesterday and I tried to put in on the V4 mob7 1s frame but the motor wires are a bit short....how did you do it? I can put one screw in the motor but the other two are out of alignment, how you do it? Thanks again
@NickBurnsFPV2 жыл бұрын
Looking at the frame I did clip part of the angled piece of the battery tray. I cut it online with the tray support so not to compromise it to much.
@PakRC2 жыл бұрын
@@NickBurnsFPV thanks I'm going to try that 🙏👍🏻
@vernelfpv Жыл бұрын
@Pak RC mine also is a bit short for both the motor wires and the ph2.0. For the motor wires, I loosen up the wire a bit since they are a bit twisted to gain a little more length. the frame should also be on the default orientation and let the motors come on the biggest gap in the frame. that is the shortest route to the motor mounts. if you really cannot fit it, last resort is to extend the wires
@kaskalo28 ай бұрын
Wait, why isn't the same procedure viable for batteries? Cut the vire in half, solder, heat shrink, etc., and change batteries to bt2.0. Just like changing connector FC
@NickBurnsFPV8 ай бұрын
It is, but many 1s batteries don't come with wires, which can still be swapped but a much more time consuming and difficult procedure it will be.

What’s the gummy situation when using hdzero whoop vtx in conjunction with a fc? Double gummies? Or is there a new special one that handles both
@NickBurnsFPV Жыл бұрын
I am not aware of a special 2 board gummy. i use gummies on the flight controller and try to avoid using a second set on the vtv when I can.
@djs134 Жыл бұрын
@@NickBurnsFPV thanks for the response, so basically a taller gummy is used and the fc sits in the slits of the gummy and the hdzero sits on top of the gummies then? I’m have a bunch of f4 lite fc builds and I’m weighing out in my head if I should convert these or just order a moblite6 and toss it in a 75mm frame like u did. My hdzero googles come today
@NickBurnsFPV Жыл бұрын
@@djs134 Yes, If we can we can turn the fc gummy upside down or taller side up to create (hopefully) enough space between the fc and the vtx. I also tend to use longer screws to help keep the frame posts from getting broken. I tend to use 8-10mm screws I found on ebay.

yes they will, it won't be dramatic, but it is noticeable. We have been using 0802 on 40mm props for a while, so much better than the brushed motor whoop days.

Do you think with the advent of the whoop lite vtx we might see some new 65mm frame designs soon that accommodates the vtx and AIO. I feel frame choice is very limiting for this especially a lite one as I do intend on racing my 65mm whoop even if it's not ideal.
@NickBurnsFPV2 жыл бұрын
do you mean the vtx and aio down lower inside the ducting of the frame? Some are mounting the aio below the mount and the vtx above where the aio normally goes.
@dirtymcstinky16562 жыл бұрын
@@NickBurnsFPV thanks for the reply. I have done this too but I don't think it's ideal. The fc can still shift if you don't use extra fixing screw i.e. extra weight. This of course depends on your FC choice aswell. I am really into HDZ but if we need to run two boards now I think we need a new 65mm frame.
