I also think the "new kid in school" factor has something to do with her being the odd one out. Plus, Wednesday is not likable in general (antisocial, sadistic, unfriendly and manipulative) whereas the other kids are fantasy creatures but with regular kids personalities more or less... For background: The original show in the 60s established that the Addams family keeps lots of unusual pets. It's likely that they have a huge tank or "goldfish pond" full of piranha at home & she simply went home real quick or called the butler Lurch & asked him to bring her some. As he wouldn't know she intended to use them on other students then he wouldn't say no. By the way, there are a couple pirhana varieties that are not meat eaters! They only eat insects & certain plants.

I think the reason she's an outcast is because Nevermore isn't exactly a School for Goths, it's a school of supernatural, because the others they laugh and hang out and have colors, and Wednesday wants nothing to do with people, doesn't do emotions or color, and is absolutely chill with killing someone. That's why she's an outcast. Or at least they THINK she murdered people. and them being werewolves/vampires/sirens/gorgons does not mean they're okay with murder. Being supernatural does not automatically make someone 'weird' like Wednesday is. For them it's species, for Wednesday it's her personality/outlook/attitude

yall should watch the addams family movies from the 90's (the actress who played wednesday in those is in this show lol, it was kinda trippy to see) to understand it better. i don't think you got that it's meant to be satire basically, or "camp". the addams family are supposed to be weird and goofy, it's not supposed to be serious lol. i've only watched the first episode of this show so far but i feel like the movies made it a bit more evident that it's camp/satire, they're also very fun movies so i highly recommend!

In my country there are over 250 languages and in every one there are names from Monday till Sunday in that language. Also Monday, Friday and Sunday are really common names in Nigeria so Wednesday is not weird to me
