It's not based upon the movies, it's based upon the original cartoon images that were drawn and it's actually the closest rendition that we have to date of the original work.

You probably didn't catch it but the first French song you hear when Wednesday was carrying the piranhas to the pool was called "No regrets" it's very famous, performed by Edit Piaf, basically it gave context to her. She had no regrets while revenging her brother 😂😂😂, there's even English version of that same song and it was sang by same singer, check it out.🖤

If y'all are doing more then I'm here for it. This show is better than I thought! I love how Jenna Ortega portrays Wednesday. She said that she and Christina Ricci never talked about Wednesday. She felt it was better to have her own take and not rip her off or step on her toes in the way she portrays her. She says it only came up once the whole 8 months they filmed. She says she also had 1 hr a day of Cello lessons, which is cool because I thought they faked it! I appreciate y'alls take.

In this world there are people called Outcasts, which the world knows as Supernatural creatures, I dont know if they confirmed it or not but I think Wednesday is a Witch, there are Werewolves, Vampires, Sirens, Gorgons(Medusas) and many other creatures. that's why no one seemed to care much whenever the Addams did anything crazy.

The "lifts" are just platform shoes. Goth girls & boys been wearing those style of shoes for ages! Yeah Jenna is short, but the platform shoes is part of the Goth style too. The Wardrobe department is just Killing two birds with one stone here it makes her taller but also fit the Goth aesthetic.

I really like the fact they hired a stage magician to play Thing. They wanted someone with dexterity and expression, able to convey and communicate just with hand/finger movements. The actor was there the entire time, with the rest of his arm in a bluescreen sleeve.
