I haven’t been saving nickel, but I do go to my local banks and get lots of penny rolls. I pull out all the pre-1982 copper cents and save them. They’re worth over 3 cents each now.

@@williamwallace9620 Yes, there are lots of pre-1982 cents. Some of the 1982 cents are copper, and some are not. I weigh the 1982 cents, and if they’re over 3 grams, they’re copper. Hopefully the bank doesn’t give you the new uncirculated rolls of zinc cents. I just started, and I have 16 pounds of copper cents.

Also, do some research on Sibayne Stillwater Ltd (SBSW) a South African company that mines palladium. AGAIN, NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE, there are other nickel and palladium mining companies that offer stock on the major exchanges, these are just two to consider. My guess, repeat guess, is all the miners will go up in value.

What do you think about this argument: Supply of precious metals is inflated by mining also technology makes mining cheaper overtime the most important part of mining is energy which is dropping in cost very fast So purchasing power of precious metals should decrease over decades except in transition from fiat to sound money which underway right now. I'll buy them at face value. Assuming you are not stupid enough to sell your nickels at face value in my opinion the best thing you can do is keep your nickels as a hedge against hyperinflation which I have been telling folks to do for years. I read that nickels were called "poor man's silver" over 40 years ago which teaches that those who understood that hyperinflation was coming years ago knew to stack nickels.
