For me the big issues are the sound effects One of the reasons the FS’s in Smash are so good is the sound design The crunch when Dedede smashes his opponent against the cage arena’s walls with his jet hammer, the quick and slick zips and powerful slams of Super Sonic darting across the stage, demolishing everything in his path, to the sound of a meteor whizzing past you followed by the distant explosion of the sun that grows closer and louder before obliterating the earth in Sephiroth’s Final Smash, the sound design is a major part of why they work so well Imagine if Patrick’s boulder slam had a strong crunch to it, or if Plankton’s had the whirring of motors before a mighty explosion. They would be so much better. What we have here is good in terms of references, yes, but they could be so amazing. Not holding that against the game, though.

It's because they're cutscenes that transition to the player damage, so they don't have any physical presence. Some of them transition pretty well with the punchy immediacy, but a lot of them feel kinda separated.

These Final Smashes need work from a technical standpoint. I think adding a couple more sound effects would help the overall "oomph" factor for several of these moves. Nickelodeon probably wanted them to release the game as is so the game's available for the holidays. Still, this is an improvement from the first game (though I do miss the cut characters).

Did this game release yet? I was really hoping this game would step it up after NASB 1 and I was anticipating this game, but the sound designs and animation feel pretty choppy. I mean definitely better than the 1st game, but it still feels a little weird. I watched the victory and losing animations and they look really really good, but their ultimate attacks (aka final smashes) feel off. I hope this isn't the final release?

This is why I am not excited for this game and don't care at all, there are still so many problems with the game like with the final smashes, all of them focus on waaaay too many references and most of them don't flow well, like they just happen and then done, because of how unpolished all of them look, none of them feel like they actually hit at all like for Jimmy Neutron, the person getting hit genuinely looks so bored waiting to get hit. Some don't even make sense like Lucy's one for example, as a former Loud House fan I genuinely have no idea what the hell is going on. I'm confused as to why she's even here to begin with at all and for some reason they kept her and removed Lincoln? You know, the mascot of the show and has actual potential for a moveset. They should've kept him and replaced Lucy with someone who makes more sense like Lisa or Lynn, and why is every Final Smash a cutscene? Some of these don't actually look bad but would work better if it wasn't an animation and just zooms into the Final Smash and just keeps it the same. Admittedly not all of them look bad, for example Korra and Zim look cool and this is coming from a guy who hasn't seen both shows and to me look decent but overall, this shows that this game didn't really make sense to make and should've just updated the original

Maybe I’m just spoiled by Final Smashes, and I know that this game doesn’t have nearly as big of a budget, but some of these specials are just… _meh._ Jenny’s in particular is VERY disappointing. That being said, I love that Gerald’s is him telling a ghost story, and the Angry Beaver’s is actually kinda funny.
