Social media is inherently worthless. there are no sales, there's no profiting from it, and everyone who uses it is a drooling moron with political beliefs that would make Karl Marx go "Hey hang on, slow down a bit." They're right not to put any work into it. Now that said, if they wanted to put work into it and then put it up on a WEBSITE, or as a promo on their show or something, or even sell 3-ring binders and folders with those images, that would be valid.

​@@KairuHakubi On the contrary; I'd say social media has the same inherent value as any other marketing forum - such as Fortnite crossovers (to bring it back to games, of which this specific deal the original franchise holder gets very little direct money from). The more eyes on it, the more they sell on streaming/DVDs/merchandise. Coca-Cola is a household name, so why do they keep running commercials and ads? It's because they have an impact, even this many years into their widespread adoption - even though the ad itself doesn't directly gain any money.

I appreciate that Nickelodeon acknowledged Transformers Earthspark (it's a fantastic show, after all), but not only is it such a poor choice for these art style posts, having an instance of a CGI show amidst a bunch of 2D shows, but the drawing itself makes it seem as if it came from Blaze and The Monster Machines. My husband and I watched this, and we are just in LOVE with the new designs! Like, they actually look authentically from the shows! Nickelodeon needs to hire YOU for their social media art posts (and pay you what you're actually worth, not their usual paltry amount). My husband's favourite is the TMNT Appa (which freaking rocks), and my favourite is...well...pretty much all of the Appa ones. If Transformers Earthspark comes up again in one of these, I recommend looking at Nick Roche's art! He was the art director of the series and he wrote + illustrated in many of the Transformers comics published by IDW! Still wouldn't capture the exact 3D animated style of the show, but it would be another interesting style to tackle! Also I'm honored to be among the first to witness Appa Rugrats Style lmao

yeah, seconding, was about to say the same thing about Earthspark, Roche's style was definitely an influence on the character outcomes. there is also 2d concept art, though not cartoony, of the show's characters, not sure what artists but I know I've at least seen some of Thrash. and i would say the humans at least do have their own defined stylizations to them, rather than being generic, compared to other 3d designs, while the animals and such are generic.

Technically, because of that crossover with KND, Mandy’s design in that universe would still be the same as her regular look. Shared universe technicality, I guess. But I definitely prefer your artwork as opposed to the “official” stuff.

I'll be honest, you probably should've made Appa look more like a manatee to fit with the SpongeBob style a bit better. He looks more like a Middlemost Post character from what you did.
