Well, it appears that my speculations have to come to fruition, and it looks as though Blue Man Group will be ending its run at Universal Studios Florida. Does this mean Nickelodeon has a chance to return to the old building? Very unlikely, but hey, one can dream.

Highly unlikely I would be extremely surprised to if they did. Se here it the thing. The real reason Nickelodeon moved things to the west coast (California). It costs less to produce tv shows and movies there. This is due in a big part to the talent and crews being right there and nearby. When they owned the orlando studios they had to fly in the talent. For example when When Nickelodeon was shooting Family Double Dare at Nick studios in Orlando Florida they would fly in Marc Summers the host he never lived in Florida. He would stay in a nearby hotel than drive to the studios film the shows and than drive back to his hotel at the end of the work day. The Nickelodeon the network was paying for his hotel room, his food, the fuel and rental car for him to get back and forth to the studio and his hotel and his transportation from his house to Orlando. Now think about that times the amount of talent actors and crews that they had to bring in for each production plus multiple productions filming in both of there sound stages at the same time. Now don't get me wrong there were some work crews right there in Orlando but not as many as in California. How in California all the crews are right there they don't live to far from the studios they can drive home home to the studios and back to there one homes. The network does not have to pay for there transportation and the production crews are right there and easy to find. Also the equipment was starting to age and would need a large upgrade and the network was not going to want to do a capital expenditure on a building they really was not using. The building had become dead weight to them so closing it just made the best of sense. So personally no I don't ever see Nickelodeon ever inhabiting that building again. It would be cool and I would love the see them come back but I highly doubt that is going to happen.

If the mess of the "Slime" that was designed for Nickelodeon Studios Grand Opening get it's paint job just because of the Blue Man Group, it maybe get a paint job at a restrooms and re-painting the slime blue or possibly disappear, making the slime to be re-designed blue would be decent, but it still feels like Nickelodeon, if it was the slime, but because in February 2021 they annouced that the Blue Man Group will not perform at Universal again, they might have to destruct the studio or try to contact Nickelodeon to reopen the area again.

The rumors I'm hearing right now is that they might make the building be part of Universal Studios Florida again, and that they could transform it into a special effects show or something.

@@datguyyo But if Universal confirmed to be Nickelodeon to return their contract to re-open the area than other companies, i'll be surprised.
