It`s my favourite moment of the movie. What an amazing way to show that when we grow up we start taking control of our emotions. Kids can`t control their emotions, emotions runs them. She`s growing up and sure it won`t happen over night but slowly she will in control.

I REALLY do hope that Disney gives Inside out just one more sequel, where Riley graduates high school and now faces the challenges of college, romance, and missing her youthful years. And if they do make a third film, I hope it, and the franchise, ends with Riley and her husband (and her emotions) gazing at their newborn baby, and Riley says "Welcome to the world, my little bundle of joy." And, hearing those strangely familiar words, Joy smiles.

Is anybody else gonna talk about how when anxiety said “joy I know you’re in there.” There was horror movie music playing in the background? It’s the one that you hear when there are bugs crawling all over a skeleton you know right? at least that’s what it reminds me of the little guitar string plucks or whatever it is that they used to make that noise.

40:20 Such clever symbolism used here. From Riley feeling the sun shine on her, it meant that whenever in times of doubt and stress, there will always be a shining hope to help overcome it. In this case, her friends, her family, her emotions, and most importantly, believing in herself. When Riley finally knew that, instead of her emotions choosing to take over Riley, Riley actually chose to be happy, she was now controlling her own emotions and chose Joy to help her begin that shining hope. Working at a smooth, steady pace while at the same time, to keep moving forward, knowing she is never alone.
@Sarah-fm1it2 ай бұрын
Inside Out 2 was imo one of the best sequels ever, because it's not only a great amazing movie, but also because it links perfectly after the first movie. Also they did a really great job even this time showing how much anxiety works in every person as we grow up.

Just hearing all those voices from the belief system makes it just so relatable, all those positive and negative beliefs colliding. Which gives us more anxiety to handle. Because we want to be our best self, but it can become more nerve wrecking to handle, because then we start doubting ourselves that we’re ’not good enough’. Seeing all 9 emotions hug the belief system just brings me to tears every time. Because they are not just hugging the system but ACTUALLY all hugging Riley herself, from the ‘inside out’, saying “It’s ok. We’re all here for you, Riley. You’re never alone. Everything is going to be ok. We all love you, no matter what.”
@alfiro-morgif39082 ай бұрын
This year, I had my first anxiety attack as well as my first time feeling depression that I couldn’t even cheer myself up. Fortunately I managed to overcome it, and after some time I watched this movie when it came out and dear god did I felt so moved by how real this movie was; some can argue that what Riley felt as a panic attack it’s unrealistic (that’s just subjective), but what it feels like to have no control of what’s going on with your head it was well represented. What a great movie, and I love it as the first movie or even more.
@ZacGamer172 ай бұрын
I swear, this is like the first movie in some ways. In the first movie, all Joy wanted for Riley was to be sure she was always positive and happy, no matter what, even through the darkest of times. But in the end, she finally understood what this was doing to Riley. For burying all that inner sorrow and doubt, it was destroying Riley from the ‘inside out’. She needed to embrace those emotions other than happiness. In the second movie, it was with beliefs, of what Riley thought of herself as. Only focusing on positive beliefs, because the emotions thought that that’s what made Riley feel accepted that way. Which again, was destroying her from the ‘inside out’. Because those negative beliefs are also what makes Riley Riley. It doesn’t mean that she’s a bad person. Everyone one of those beliefs makes her who she is as a human being. And other people accept those things about you, cause that’s what makes you you. Morals for both of those was so impactful and true. Never try to shadow your inner conflicts or negative beliefs with positivity. Because you won’t be hurting others if you don’t, you would hurting yourself the most. Hurting the real you that YOU are meant to be. Hiding the true definition of yourself. From the ‘inside out’. Always be true to yourself, and never try to bottles those conflicts up, embrace them and accept all your emotions and beliefs for what they can do to benefit your life.

I love this movie so much and it really connected to me. Coming from someone who had a hard time struggling with depression and anxiety, I really felt seen watching this. My depression stage was really difficult for me as it was with going back to school after being quarantined and being bullied, it was difficult to meet new people and trust them, but I got to meet great people who have been there for me each day. It has been really hard saying goodbye to friends and I don’t think it’s gonna get easier, but I’ve got great friends to help me. So many scenes in this film were just magnificent with how much emotion it conveyed. Really hope the academy gives this film a lot more attention for oscars

And I'm not just saying that because I like Riley and I care about her, I'm saying it as someone with an anxiety disorder who has gotten so much better through therapy and medication. 💖❤️🩹 Also, one of the few things I ended up being spoiled on in this movie was Joy snapping at the other emotions.
