I honestly think Nicki should have tapped into more business ventures during her hiatus. She could've released another perfume, created a makeup brand, a fashion line with a more mature and sexy appeal, expanded her moscato line, continue to establish her record label (Which does anyone know what happened with that and the girl she supposedly signed.), star in more movies, tv shows, do more collaborations and brand deals, like Nicki has the resources, the money, the connections and the fanbase to really create a business empire similar to Jay Z. Yet it seems like she didn't choose to diversify her brand. My girl really could've been a whole billionaire with Rihanna if she had played her cards right. It just seems like all her peers have moved on to better things and she's just stuck. I just feel like if she had something outside of rap, she wouldn't be so worried about everything and everyone else. Beyonce has Ivy Park and Parkwood Entertainment, Rihanna has Fenty, Drake has his own festival, Lady Gaga out here winning Oscars, and acting might I say, phenomenally in movies, Ariana is doing the whole makeup thing like bruh, she could've used these last couple of years to expand into even greater things but didn't. And at this point, I don't even know what could be said anymore.

I think the issue is with Nikki is that, unlike a lot of men in rap, she didn't find a way to diversify herself so that rap wasn't the only thing she has. No shade but her acting career didn't become like Ice T, Ice Cube, Queen Latifah, or even LL Cool J. Also, while she has deals, that alcohol brand she was associated with isn't seen much or talked about anymore. Her legacy is purely rap. Which, to me, I think makes her sensitive to the fact that, she has completely dedicated herself to music, yet she can't get the accolades. Yes, Nikki is one of the top rappers, and by far if you just name women. Yet, these new girls who don't sell get bigger pushes and opportunities than her? People like Cardi B, who are not only as messy as Nikki, but have cases, yet still are getting Pepsi commercials, getting to be in movies with Oscar buzz and cast in blockbusters? Heck, even getting TV shows? Nicki went to LaGaurdia High School - one of the top performing arts high schools. Yet, she seems to be limited to her undeniable talent when it comes to rapping. And I think like a lot of rappers, Nicki knows the rap game isn't geared towards being in your 40s, 50s, and beyond. Yes, Jay-Z can still release an album that is not only critically acclaimed but financially successful, but Jay is an anaomly, not a rule. So at this point, I can only hope Nikki stops actively looking for a fight, letting people (particularly her fans) hype her up, and just worries about her bag and close family. Maybe that'll lead to the comeback she is overdue for outside of the music industry.

Have you ever thought Nicki doesn't want the deals she gets. Even with her acting, she could of easily expanded that but she didn't want to, she didn't even try. She stuck to her passion. Also, you can't deny her passion is acting when she went to high school for it vs the various others in New York. This is incorrect, in an Interview/Doc Nicki her self said that when she was younger acting is something that she really wanted to pursue and then she found rap, when she was giving side roles and cameos in movie projects she said even though they were bit parts it took a lot of time just to shoot them, and then you have that waiting period of when the project actually comes out, it was the instant gratification she missed, when she makes music she writes her verse, create the hook and boom the sequence is easier and seamless, with film there’s different takes, waiting for hours until the director needs you etc, so she her self Chose rap, don’t make it seem like she tried the acting thing and failed or couldn’t get roles because that is not the case. Nick had dabbled in many business ventures and probably the first female rapper to do so, from music, to food, to perfume, to clothing, to alcohol to even most recently gaming. Which means she can be successful at anything she chooses to pursue but that doesn’t mean she shouldn’t continue to rap, no one tells Beyoncé that she should give up music and venture out into other things or calls her one dimensional for doing music because that is just her natural passion no different to Nicki.

Nicki is a self titled "Queen", that's her problem. She felt that way (which, great, you go girl, self worth) before anyone gave her that title, and it shows everytime she feels the need to be validated by every one of these new girls. I agree that she is stuck in a world where she’s the sole winning female rapper, but the audience has evolved. The thing I found out is that I think Latto submitted for “Melodic Rap”, which would be an accurate category, which I think Nicki’s song would fit. Melodic Rap & Rap are two different categories. Nicki was very unlikely to win against Kendrick in Rap either. But she could have been a potential spoiler. Now, she’s unlikely to even be nominated for SFG. The problem is “Big Energy” but especially “First Class” follow very similar formulas to SFG yet were accepted in the Rap categories. That was definitely shady on the Grammys. Nicki bringing up Latto (knowing that they recently fell out), trying to push her to publicly speak out in her behalf (once again, knowing that they recently fell out), starting to call her names, then unnecessarily taking their private conversations public was all definitely not the move. She’s just too legendary to be this messy and petty.
