Please tell I'm not the only one who was getting massive deja vu vibes to last yearish, when Nicki teamed up with 69, defended him to the end, and this man turned around when the song got to number 1 and pretty much threw her under the bus. I can still hear him saying/demanding what was the last SOLO song of Nicki's that made the charts? I wouldn't be surprised if Jesy did the same thing too. Love Nicki for now because she defended her, and then leave her in the dust when it's convenient. What broke my heart the most about all this is that Nicki really shaded and dragged Leigh, the black member of Little Mix, calling her a hater, saying she was jealous of Jesy. And I'm like, JEALOUS OF WHAT?! Because it sure as hell ain't looks or talent. Leigh is so insanely pretty and so insanely talented. Ariana Grande is the most prominent case, but doesn’t get grouped into these conversations because there’s some discernible talent there. When Victorious ended, she gave a very Cat Valentine, Katy Perry single called “Put Your Hearts Up.” That flopped like a fish. Then, she started using black beats and sounds in music, and she hasn’t looked back since. If someone like Coco Jones (insanely underrated) was singing these songs, I’d have no problem with them. God is a Woman and 7 Rings are cute, until I am reminded that these aren’t a black woman’s songs.

We’ve seen this all too often. Remember Christina Aguilera’s video for “ can’t hold us down” … black fishing even changed her hair texture and had a lot of black ppl dancing in the video. Christina A. has picked up and put down the black aesthetic all too often and I’ve never seen her called out, don’t even start on Ariana. 🙄

Nicki uses other female artists to take down or outshine someone else she has a problem with. She tried to use Meg thee Stallion to steal the thunder from Cardi B but it backfired. Now she’s using Bia to steal thunder from Megan. And I honestly believe she jumped on that song with Jesy to steal thunder from Normani because she worked with Cardi B.

Here’s the thing about Nicki. Nicki knows about blackfishing, she knows about the music industry and colorism. she’s aware because she dragged the fuck out of Cardi B (Rightfully so) on being racially ambiguous and calling a black girl a roach. HOWEVER, She is just self centered. The fact that she alluded to saying that people accused BIA for blackfishing (Which is a blatant lie) just cause she got a Song with Her and connect that to Jesy when both aren’t the same thing just proves how she believes the world revolves around her when it don’t. That’s why she’s hurt she isn’t charting, that’s why she is desperately damage controlling on everything (I.E the whole Anti Vaxx, and swollen balls sit) cause she is scared of not being relevant anymore. And tbh, from just this year alone from what Nicki is doing, I honestly wish Cardi’s Shoe actually connected to Nicki’s face at that Party a few years back.

How can people be mad at Cardi when she is of afro Latina decent and grew up in New York? Wouldn't she be being herself? Unless some people who make these comments have never been to the hood and seen the cross cultural influence 🤷🏾♀️ I've always been confused about that. I'd say yes to cultural appropriation if what the person is doing is not a part of who they are or how they grew up. Just my opinion though🤷🏾♀️

OK so it’s not just me? The more these kind of situations happen, I’m starting to think that she doesn’t really like black women to begin with. And she always pulls the “black women do this, that to another black women” card, whenever it’s beneficial but whenever it’s a situation where it’s black women vs whoever, she’s quicker to defend the non black person. It’s starting to seem like it’s deep rooted and maybe she needs to address that before she can fix it.
