Late response, but I want to comment in this video. I love both and hate neither of them, but I find Nicki Minaj to be somewhat arrogant when calling herself (or better yet, bragging about) the queen of rap, and forgets two things: 1. The women who paved way for her, especially Lil Kim who Nicki Minaj's entire style derives from 2. She does more Pop than actual rap Plus, she hasn't actually done anything special in the rap and hip-hop communities like previous female rappers did. She didn't pave the way for any female rapper and had almost no competition, but is now facing competition with Cardi B, who I feel will succeed her like Nicki did with Lil Kim. But if ya'll want to call Nicki Minaj the "queen of rap" for being the most successful female rapper (even though most of her success was due to going pop and mainstream), feel free, but Lil Kim will always be a legend for her influence in rap and hip hop, something Nicki Minaj will never achieve, other than her arrogance.
