There are so many beautiful gems in this video. The scooter ride to the paint store, the upkeep on the home, the nap, preparing dinner, the incredible path Carlos walked, and the abandoned home. I love the fact that the relic is privately owned and preserved. No, not updated in a tourist preservation sense, but an honorable untouched manner.

I know that I am not the only person waiting patiently for Sunday to arrive to see your videos and share in your beautiful town, country and life. Please consider doing more interviews of residents 70 plus years. I am certain their stories and memories of life before LA Turista.....would be fascinating. Info about how these homes and terraces were constructed without machinery would be a valuable history lesson...... I am in complete awe of how the towns and villages came to life. Do you have a town historian that you can interview or photos from before WWII? I have done hiking in Cinque Terra, and truly admire and appreciate your love of adventure and exploring.

Carlo, congratulations on the work you have done on the trails surrounding your home. The stairs are outstanding. My mother was from a family of 16 too. Fortunately during the Great Depression, they lived on a farm with vegetable gardens, chickens and dairy cows. I have memories of my grandmother churning butter that she sold at one of the oldest city markets in Canada. Would love to hear more about your mother and father’s experiences growing up in Positano. Absolutely top video. A vintage reminder of what your site does so well. A perfect blend of current real life in Positano ( from carnival to hardware shopping to great home cooking). Fantastic insights into its history. Reminders about why despite the increase in tourist numbers Positano is still so fantastic a blend of town, countryside and sea. I took my dream trip to Italy in 2015, and I tell people my favorite thing about it is that you can't put a trowel in the earth without encountering some sort of Roman or pre-Roman relic. I'm an archeology geek, so seeing things like these homes and gardens of people long gone, is absolutely fascinating and beautiful! I'm making plans with a friend to go back to Italy in 2024, and I can't wait.

Even more then the ghost story, I like the history of how people that lived in those parts used the limited land available and made do with growing things on the side of the cliffs. I assume these gardens were communal too, shared and shared alike. This is one of the main reasons I found this channel when trying to see how people in these types of cities/towns/villages lived.
