jeannette katt - good luck in your fight Jeannette. 2 of my daughters had cancer - one at age 17 the other when she was 33. Both beat it. 17yr old is now 39. And the 33 yr old is now 44. They had different cancers but one thing they did have in common was their complete belief they would beat cancer and their amazing positive attitudes during their treatment. 17yr old had to do 2.5 YEARS of weekly chemo and she refused to let cancer slow her down! 33yr old did several months of chemo then several weeks of daily radiation then several surgeries - all that in about a 1 year period. She was put through the wringer but she also never slowed down if it was in her to keep going. I just KNOW their positive attitudes helped heal them. In some sort of way! They both have amazing lives now - I’m sure their experiences helped make them who they are today. Keep the faith Jeannette - believe you can fight & win over cancer - don’t let it get the better of you!!! Stay strong. Take care!

I have known quite a few people who have passed on from cancer but before they do, they too lived the best life until they couldn't. The pain is a pain that seems to be so painful that it can stop one from moving forward. Stay strong Alex and keep moving because I believe that is what has kept you living in the safe zone. It is the worst in my opinion. I watched my Mom just waste away. Losing like 10 lbs. in a few days. She was in so much pain. Her Oncologist didn't prescribe Her pain medicine. When She went on Hospice they gave Her the morphine. It's a nightmare. I pray no one has to go down this road. Insist Your Dr.checks Your liver panel, and even the slightest discomfort insist CAT scan on abdomen.

This is so sad. My grandmother got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few years ago and she died two months after the diagnosis. It had metastasized to every part of her body. It was the hardest and worst thing I’ve ever seen someone go through. She lost so much weight so quickly because she couldn’t keep any food down. She was in excruciating pain all day long for two months. She chose not to fight it. She was ready to go and she was able to pass away comfortably in her home with hospice care and all of her family around her. Cancer is no joke and it can take you down whenever it wants to. It’s absolutely terrifying.

My wife tried to console me "Everyone dies, Alex is just going a little bit ahead of the rest of us, that's all." This is so sad! I've watched Jerpordy on and off for as long as I can term remember, and after each show I'm left with a smile on my face. Alex Trebek seems like a very charismatic individual, and I wish him and his family the best as he continues his fight with pancreatic cancer.
