To be honest, I have a little more interest because of the Clark- Reese rivalry. Rivalries / competitiveness have always made any sport more exciting. What could change that fact now? Because that’s a fact. However, Watching them made me recognize the many players that are better than both of them. I rightfully support the best players- at least as much as any rookie. Nothing’s changed about this being a team sport. Morals and principles over flesh/ material- everytime! Nothing’s new!

Veteran WNBA players are pissed because they have been coasting their entire careers and now here comes someone who hustles. Since the league started the players have griped and complained about the low pay compared to men's basketball. So they only play 75 or 80 percent. In comes a talented rookie, playing 100% all the time. They have to actually work to keep up. So,...cheap shots and some roughing up is the only way to slow her down. They are playing ok but I think they are realizing this is a much tougher league than college. So what Diana said is nothing but the truth of what it will be like for the rookies coming in. Once they adjust to the talent level that is the WNBA they will be fine.

Of course it is not about her race. Caitlin is the Michael Jordan of the WNBA. She's led her team to, well she will lead her team to championships. She's been the league's leading scorer, well she will be the league's leading scorer. She's been the WNBA league's MVP, well she will be MVP, someday. The media has been doing what the media does. It lives off of blowing things up out of proportion and then feeding off of the controversy they helped create in the first place. If there's not a problem, they will create one so that they can report on it incessantly. That's how they secure viewership, attract sponsors, and make money. It's a business, not a public service. And let the buyer beware. Catlin is a talented and hard-nosed competitor. She will toughen up even more, adapt her game to the WNBA, and become an outstanding player, if not a star, for many years to come. She is good for the game. Caitlin Clark will lift all boats.

LeBron took a Cleveland team with 17 wins the year before...doubles their wins to 35 in his rookie season. Within 3 years, Cleveland is in the NBA finals. With James, Cleveland enjoys 6 consecutive winning seasons. The year he leaves them, they immediately COLLAPSE. Let's see if Clark will have the same impact on the Fever. Right now, at 1-5, it's not looking favorable.
@meg-k-waldren3 ай бұрын
@@weedermannLebron wasnt the only addition to the Cavs his rookie year. The following other players were added: 1.Tony Battie 2. Kendrick Perkins 3. Ilgauskus was back from injury 4. Jason Kapono 5. Jeff McGinis 6. Ira Newble 7. Kevin Ellie 8. Eric Williams Also you should know that the Cavs purposefully tanked the 2003 season in order to be able to get the 1st pick to draft Lebron. So the whole 17 games team win thing is just a made-up narrative by talking heads on First Thing First. So do your research before spreading that 🧢 narrative. And I do remember his rookie campaign - rational folks believe Melo shouldve won ROTY, not Lebron. Melo helped the Nuggets to 43 wins. Lebron helped the Cavs to 35 wins. Those are just the facts. Facts over feelings. Period.
