Another incident Nickelodeon swept under the rug that I think is worth digging up is the story of Micah Wright and Constant Payne. In 2001 Wright created a pilot called Constant Payne that was dropped by Nickelodeon. Apparently the pilot was shelved due to the Writers Guild of America attempting to unionize in a movement that they believed Wright to be involved in. Though bad timing could also have had an effect, given that the pilot had a scene where one of the main characters flies an aircraft between two towers, and aired a few months before well... you know. Since then Wright has mostly written video games and he apparently still holds the rights to Constant Payne.

em... I really wouldn't call any of these disturbing and I feel compelled to comment on them in order: 1. The term "Gak" actually has two meanings. One meaning is cocaine, not heroin; and the other is "a sticky or messy substance". -and even though it was a drug on the streets, it's very likely that it was just a coincidence that both were called the same thing and once the staff realized this they probably just shrugged there shoulders because it's not that big a deal. 2. A contestant couldn't have sex because she had a pie thrown in her face? This is either some frivolous lawsuit just to get money or that woman had a seriously disturbing interaction with a clown in her childhood. 3. This one seems pretty legit and doesn't really surprise me. The adult humor in Rocko is either a failed attempt at sneaking in adult humor in a children's show (like the way most shows try to do), but missing the "cute" mark and going over the line instead. Or this is a disgruntled employee who purposely placed those jokes in there, in a kind of 'Tyler Durden' sticking it to the man sort of way. 4. The mutated Bikini Bottom being the result of a nuclear blast is something that isn't disturbing at all. There have been so many heroes and heroines who have gained there powers by some form of radiation or radiation-like effect, the Ninja turtles just to name one example. 5. A major television network exploiting/conning their workers out of wages and benefits? -say it ain't so! He said, sarcastically... 6. Danny light foot vanished? Oh, another 'internet mystery'! No, you just can't find him. That's it, there is no mystery. NEXT! 7. Angelique Bates was just a victim of a 'Tiger mom' and the rest of the crew probably didn't want to get involved because it puts them in an extremely awkward situation and they ultimately have no say-power since she's a minor - all the say-power was held by her mother, the legal parent/guardian. And since the case was most likely not severe enough to concern child services, ultimately nothing can be done in those situations. 8. iCarly. Now, this one does suck. That's all I can say about, but also it doesn't really surprise me. Now, why did I feel compelled to write about all of these? Because I have no life and to much time on my hands lol
