Totally agree. And, to be honest, in my opinion she is too old now to be a good fit for strenuous stew duties (she used to pitch in while governing) and 20-yr-old partying. Educating & stepping up into chef or captain would have saved yachting for her, but as chief stew she's done.

The very first episode of Below Deck that I watched was with Kate & her 'font' personalities she assigned to her co-workers. She had me from then on. She is bright, creative, witty & sharp-tongued when needed. I would never want to get on her bad side, but only because she is probably a really devoted friend. Kate-fave Chief Stew; Captain Lee-fave captain; Ben-hands down favorite chef!!

Reality TV is not reality, Do you really think there are cameras on the cast for each cast member 24/7? We, the viewers, are presented with a version of the truth. I don't care; I love the show, but I am concerned about the repercussions on the cast beyond the broadcasts of the episodes/seasons. RealityTV is not reality, it is packaged for unreality entertainment; you either accept it or not.

I actually ended up in the background of a reality show that filmed at my workplace and firstly they used the smallest fraction of the footage they filmed, and second, you're right. They literally invent a storyline. They made it appear that two of my teammates were in the running for a promotion but were competing with each other. They interviewed a guy who had no say in their promotion whatsoever because our supervisor didn't want to be a part of it. Neither of them were actually up for the specific promotion anymore than hundreds of others across the company. My favourite part was them dramatically asking if my two teammates could manage to put aside their differences and work together on an event. When we literally run the same events on like a weekly basis and run events together daily. There was no rivalry whatsoever in real life. Hahahah.
