I think the visa process is much longer if they were not married in the US, not living in US, and apply for a spousal visa/work visa/family visa while living in their own country. Or the FICA tax will be increased. Or they will use general federal tax revenue to make up the shortfall - which could be inflationary. Annual income over $160,000 isn't taxed with FICA - that limit could be removed while limiting the maximum benefit - that will lead to lawsuits.

Hi Nick: We've been living and traveling all over central Mexico in our RV for over a year now. Once we got into Oaxaca and especially on the last trip from Oaxaca City down to the coast we started seeing large groups of people walking north (from Guatemala). We noticed the different nationalities (NOT Mexicans) including people who looked Chinese (wtf?) Turns out Mexico City is a "sanctuary city" so they are all headed there... Some keep going from there to the U.S. It's presented a huge struggle for the infrastructure in places (like the Guatemala/Mexico border towns) where these people are flowing in and needing resources. They seem to be very much like Texas, pretty pissed off, but Mexico city is like, "Hey, come one, come all..." So we are seeing that here. Did you hear in the U.S. migrants in NYC and many other places will be allowed to vote (the whole point, perhaps)? I guess only in "municipal elections" but with that and driver's licenses and being wooed into military, etc. It makes you wonder. Is the replacement workforce for the U.S. population being orchestrated? (okay, call me what you will for saying that but...)

My unit did a few weeks tour at the border, our conex got broken into when it came off the ship, a week later we were finding military Hmmwv tires for sale at the local swap meet market, not to mention T-shirts with our state logo walking around too lmao.
