I have a podmic too and at first I was a little disappointed that it sounded worse than the Shure SM58 but I must admit with EQ and a bit of post-processing I really like its quality. I really appreciate you making a video about these two microphones, thank you very much!

Thanks for watching! Yeah, I wonder if a lot of people miss the Rode because of this but with a little extra effort it's an amazing mic :)

The Rode podmic has high level intrinsic noise like an Lavalier. Why you haven't tested both with XLR connection so it could have been more reliable.
