None, it is all just sheer nonsense. The root cause is a profoundly anti-economic ideology that is built on scarcity and inefficiency and is therefore only about self-interest, competition and hoarding = selfishness, infinite war for survival and greed. The religion of property, trading and money is the cause and it is perpetuating itself, scarcity causes hoarding = greed = private property, private property has no other sense and purpose than to limit access for others, so artificial scarcity, this is the loop of insanity, scarcity causing hoarding and hoarding is causing scarcity. Just ridiculous how people fall for that nonsense that some guys who are hiding from the world in some temple could ever know anything about the world.

Thank you for your wisdom Nick, you are a light to this world. 🧘♂️ Here in the US nearly our entire culture stands as an impediment to Nirvana. Greed, hatred, and dillusion are woven tightly throughout our ideas of endless economic growth, Western superiority, and pushing our ideals on the rest of the world. I am grateful for these challenges. When upon leaving the Christian church I begun reading the words of the Buddha, his wisdom shown brighter than anything I'd ever heard. His diagnosis of the mind healed me in ways nothing else could. I tried for so long to replace broken things with new shiny things, never realizing it was the attachment to things themselves that was the source of suffering. Along with the ineffible wisdom of the Tao I watched my worries wash away into the sea. I have given up nearly all my possessions. The less I have the greater I become. ☸️☯️

Kinda similar story as I was born in a Sunni Muslim ☪️ family but I was always curious about the deep and complex questions of the life like existence, meaning, suffering cause..etc. & I couldn't find the answers but kinda fascinated and attracted to the Buddha ever since I was a kid and after reading about thr Nikāyas and Therāvada Buddhism, it changed my life and it means a lot that I found the Noble Buddha's Dhamma, the greatest gift to humanity. Sounds like jealousy honestly. Kind of like people who get mad that disabled people get stipends and subsidized medical care to help them survive. People will get so mad at the "lazy" adult who is in their 20s because their families and society have to help them. Especially if it's not a "pretty" disability like schizophrenia.

Those that say that monkhood is for people who ran away from responsibility clearly don't understand Buddhism. For the monks who are lazy and do nothing but accept food, they are wrong too. The role of a monk is to learn what the Buddha taught; nirvana is the ultimate goal. A goal that is not sought but individually attained. Monks compassion dictated them to share the knowledge to the lay people, who are going thru their everyday activities. In return the lay people supported the monks thru food and funding for their shelter; wat. Thank you for today lesson, monk Nick.

Thanks for the video. I can say that I at least tried to live by the things mentioned in the video. Unfortunately, this is almost impossible when 90% of people think differently and act accordingly. It has proven to be much more practical for me to respond to any aggression against myself or my life with maximum counter-aggression of the same kind. A kind of peace through deterrence. A hard life requires tough measures, that's what I've learned.

Just came across your channel yesterday Venerable Nick. Thank you for your wisdom, hope, and peace. I have enjoyed 3 of your videos and look forward to watching more. I must say that in regards to this video I was uplifted to see "Morality" on the the top of the list. I might not be rich but I have morals! We all need to strive to hold onto our morals. One person cannot change the world but like you said one family member changing for the better can improve the whole family. To all I say: Give a smile & speak kind words to a child you may see today. Their little minds & hearts are dealing with so much in their homes, in schools, and on the streets and on televisions too. ❤😂
