Here's some walleye fishing advice that should help you put a few walleyes in the boat during this late summer to early fall transition period.

Im trying to find them on a big deep tn lake right now. 2 days ago, most of the biomass was 60' deep over 80. Went out last night same conditions and everything was 10' deep spread out over the deepest basin of the lake. Lake is turning right now at 70' with no thermocline (that i can see). 3 days ago i saw baitballs down 10' and then 80' off the same shoreline. How the hell do you pattern that lol

Haha, honestly a good question! I’d avoid targeting fish that might be too deep (potential barotrauma issues). The best you can do is try to catch fish you’re seeing obviously a lot fish you’re seeing aren’t walleye. Look around and sample different things you’re seeing. And of course things can change quick this time of year, which makes it difficult to develop a consistent pattern.

Can you explain what you mean by "rigging"? Looked like an egg weight but not sure what else.
@NickLindner
@NickLindner 2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I definitely could have clarified. Rigging is just running live bait on a hook and keeping it close to the bottom with a weight (could be an egg sinker). In fall, most folks are rigging with minnows.

Bro no joke, I just caught a 4.5 lbs 24 inch walleye. However it was in the provo river, like right below the deer creek dam.
