The reason why your obtusfolia "variegata" rots easy, is because is needs alot more light! I have one in really bright light in my mini plastic greenhouse, it gets watered about every day w the hose, and is growing like nuts! I also have another regular obtusfolia that stays in fairly bright light on my (north facing)front porch over summer, bright east window over winter and its HUGE - I water that one fairly frequently as well - do you may just need more light w it! Love your video- I've ended up w a few peperomia from grocery stores that just say "tropical foliage" (which makes me nuts) - so you've helped me put names to a few! Thank you!

Thanks! 🙏 What beautiful plants! You’re a great plant parent! I very much enjoyed this one. That frost variety really calls to me. I also love the word “peperomia.” It’s such a fun word for a plant - and, yeah, it’s in part because it sound like pepperoni! 🍕 Best!

Yippee! I love it when you do peperomia stuff! I have found them to be so challenging but I am learning and getting better. I feel so validated that you find the obtusifolia easy to rot, too. Anyway, you mentioned how anytime you find a big basket of peperomia that you have to have it. Since you’re in the business, you are probably already aware but I have found big baskets of peperomia at BBS. Using Steve’s Leaves as a picture guide, I have found perciliata, ruby cascade, and (what I once thought to be serpens is on Steve’s leaves as cyclophylla. I don’t buy these because I have a hard enough time with the smaller versions but that have been drool worthy!

Peperomias are not my cup of tea, but I'm glad I watched this anyway. That Piper is gorgeous - how does it work as a houseplant? I wish I could find one here in Norway! And that dwarf Philodendron in the terrarium at the start may be just up my alley (again, finding one in Norway seems impossible). Nice video, even if the main subject and the pace (needed for the large number of plants) was not really for me. I'm looking forward to more videos from you!

Just found your channel, I love peperomia too!! This was a fun video c: I also have that Harmony's Pumpkin and it looks pretty sad too. I actually have mine staked up because the stem is too weak to hold up the leaves, which are also curled in. It seems to be a common issue, from what I can tell.

Oh yeah, I'm a sucker for a peperomia! My first one was a cute little pixie peperomia I got at Walmart. I had it for a couple of years and then it developed this weird growth at the base and I tossed it. I probably shouldn't have done that because now I can't find another one!

@nick pileggi I noticed some of your babies have some deformities in their leaves and the color is a bit off as you mentioned.
