Thank You Stephane for the opportunity to watch the restoration of your Charger. In the early '80s I had an Australian one with the "slant6", I gave it to a "short-term g-friend", bugger, wish I had it still.

Hey Stephane, I'm glad for you to have your dream car in good hands. I myself in the late 1980's rebuilt an Aussie muscle car, a Torana A9X, look these up. The one thing for me was I did not insure the car quick enough. 1 week after the car was fully restored my mates and I went on a drive to Phillip Island where we parked on the road near a beach. Later when we came back to the cars, mine was gone. It was found in some bushes not far from where it was parked. A truck ploughed into it and pushed it into the bushes. It was a total right off. Pls make sure you get this beauty insured.

My 1968 Charger died the death of disassembly when I was in my early 20s, back in the mid 80s. I wish I had the knowledge and skill then to see it through to completion. Congratulations so far and I am looking forward to the rest of this build! Stuff like this inspires me to persist with my current build.

I worked in an autobody shop for 17 years. The amount of skill and expertise to reassemble a car in this condition takes an artist in metal forming, welding, bodywork, painting and a complete knowledge of how the car was originally built at the factory. I think most people have no idea of how difficult it is to take a rust bucket and turn it into perfection. Making sure the doors close properly, the glass fits, aligning the hood and trunk to make sure all the gaps are correct so nothing binds up and looks correct. All these things take years of experience and hard work to make the job perfect for the customer. I know this personally how hard it is to achieve this. My hat is off to these men by bringing back a piece of muscle car history to be enjoyed again. I think Nick would agree.Bill from Linglestown, Pennsylvania

I have seen quite a few body men, and George is at the top of the list with the quality of his work. I'm following your build very closely, and I'm very impressed with what I've seen so far. You made the right decision just like I did by taking your car to Nick's garage for it's restoration. Take care my friend.

I love how George said every gap will be measured, hood, doors, fenders, trunk, every gap will be right on. I have seen Chris Birdsong do several of these and there is a lot of finess work involved to get all of these panels to fit perfect, I also just watched rust bucket restos just finish welding up his 68 Charger that was a skeleton as well, getting all of those gaps right is the hardest part, but it metal, you can move it if need be, way to go George.

Back in 84 I worked in a paint store in hollywood. I had an emergency delivery to the dukes of hazard sound stage . As I walking up with my wheel dolley with the paint order there were 3 general Lee's parked there. I drove a 66 GTO at the time. I was going to check out those chargers before I left. As I got the invoice signed. A hush came across the crew. The crewmen parted way at the big doorway. 2 big german shepherds walked into sight followed by Cathrine Bach in full blown Daisy Duke costume. If you think she looked good on TV she was stunning in person. I forgot to look at the general Lee's. I don't recall much of anything for the next half hour. Just thought I would share.

Good evening all!!!! I’m always amazed at how technology has made it possible to restore cars that, when I was a boy, would’ve wound up scrapped. My dad was a body man for many years, and I used to watch him grinding and sanding for hours, then prime and paint. This car is coming together quite nicely, and I’m sure Stefan will be more than pleased. Hats off to everyone making this happen!!!!!

Love watching old school work going on in shops . Back after getting out of the Army went to turning wrenches myself working mainly at Truck Dealerships for 20 so years. I'm still amazed at the battery operated impact guns (aka air guns) ...man, we were using the old heavy 1",3/4, 1/2 , and 3/8 drive Ingersoll Rands, CP, MAC TOOLS ,and Snap-On impacts back then ...I see all the battery operated stuff their using now . Man, Wish we had ,had those then ...lolololol...I know air will never totally be replaced, but tools sure have come a long way now from then ...BEST MUSCLE CAR CHANNEL ON KZbin!!!!!!!! Chargers are just the most awesome of muscle cars in my opinion and the more that get saved from the scrap heap the better.. i was lucky enough to get a ride in one at santa pod in UK about 20 years ago and it was incredible...great watching you guys putting this one together !

This is like a build it kit, I understand that the fit and the joints (welds/ rivets, etc) are the key to an excellent job. This is a fun look at the process.

Nick, George and his team are impressive, I think you have found the best of the best in all aspects for metal / body work. Such a joy and feast for the eyes, and really appreciate all the effort to share with us the "mock-up" of this car.

putting that car back together is like making ,shaping, and constructing your own jigsaw puzzle. every piece has to fit perfectly. its like the opening lines to the six million dollar man, and how he gets rebuilt, that's how the charger is getting rebuilt. a bionic charger

This is great to watch, nice to see how it’s done, not like the “network reality cars drama show”George , your skills are phenomenal , I love that motto of only replacing what needs to be replaced , like the inner fender well repair, looking forward to the next video!🇨🇦👍

Wow! I'm looking forward to the rest of this build. It's amazing that so many replacement panels are available. So many hack mechanics and "restoration" guys out there but it's safe to say that Nick and George are at the top of their game. Premium craftsmanship in play here and I'm sure you gentlemen charge a premium for your craft, as you very well should. Good ain't cheap and cheap ain't good. Will this be a stock restoration or will the drive train be updated? A Hellcat, perhaps?
