This engine was for sale on the internet, and was making big promises. Nick found some unpleasant surprises inside. Now all the issues have been addressed, it is time for a final dyno test.

That engine would produce allot more if he didnt run it too lean two you never change all the sleeves if you do not have too these were not designed with sleeves core shift could occur ie change the bad ones only 3 he blew that hemi up that distributor was tooken out to remove the engine from the car and then placed in the hole after to keep the dirt out ie check firing order its your job as the dyno operator make sure your carbs are right again your job use the right ignition components ie the right msd box . Do not leave the box sti on the engine like he did make sure its grounded right all things that were not done !!!

Nice Hemi V8 Nick. Anyway you look at it,700 ft/lbs of torque is nothing to sneeze at. That's a lot of torque. That's enough torque to move a Mack truck! Question is can a 727 torque flight automatic transmission withstand that amount of torque?
@victordjinn632
@victordjinn632 8 күн бұрын
Hello Paul, if I may. The 727 torque flight cannot be "souped" up, per se. It can be (set up) for heavy power flow by adding clutch pack friction discs. Chrysler normally use "high impact" Borg-Warner friction and bonding material in their transmissions which mandates "low impact" Dexron II or backwards compatible fluid. It's a co-efficient of friction thing. In this case a controlled amount of slippage for smooth , seamless shifts. You don't want "any" slippage in a race transmission, so the friction and bonding material is Borg Warner, and the transmission fluid is Type F. A "high impact" fluid with a "high impact" friction and bonding material. The race transmission is stuffed full of clutch pack friction discs. As many as you can get in there.

@@hotrodray6802 less than 30 degrees even with a large bore as possible is reasonable. I wonder what cam spec is, 12.9 is great but something about the cherry headers with zip for load. A big car and AC and South Florida heat would melt them at 80 on I-95 or 75

I thought the same thing. $400 coating out the window. Like Nick said, that's what happens when you turn 2,500 rpm for ten minutes with zero air flow around the headers.
