I've been really getting into Synthwave lately thanks to my friend Gina and my favorite band in this genre has to be The Midnight. Love this music and this group! You can see me performing music like this every day at / nickandadrumstick !
I'm a musician in Muscle Shoals, Alabama who loves making and performing music! I've got over 16 years of experience in music. I started with drums and from there have taught myself to play lots of other instruments like guitar, bass, keys, percussion, and a few more. Drummer here, metal genre focused.... THIS IS SICK! I have found myself listening to more and more Synthwave/Retrowave music recently as well. Seems like the days of Metal (any sub-genre) is fading out besides on the internet side. It's getting stale in my eyes... This is an amazing cover of The Midnight. Not over-done, not too much self-impression, just clean with some tasty additions, it's weird when I say this but: I like the double bass integration but I would have not done it for the rest of the song, it's almost like you want to give them a taste, and you want them to want more, but not deliver it on the sense that it leaves the listener hanging wanting more. Love it regardless my guy!

@@nicksib911 yeah man it's weird going from heavier stuff to this but I think for me personally it's an attachment to emotion and nostalgia. While metalcore runs on emotion as well just a different expression of such, this genre does the same from a different perspective. I find it healthy to be able to see how others deal with pain, sadness, happiness, and so on. Also, being born in '87 and my mother who was a musician, I grew up on a lot of 70s 80s and 90s rock and pop music along with dance music. I think drumming and guitar both made my mind work in a way where I'm attached to mathematical patterns so electronic music has been something I've always enjoyed on the technical side, not the aesthetic side until I found Synthwave and Retrowave as the colors are rather addicting lol. Thanks for the reply brother! Keep up the great work man!

Idk how to describe this, the video is so relaxing, the song too, but your moves it makes this song very energetic. Hard to explain actually , but wonderful!
