I'm very surprised to see him on this list. Having been able to actually improve in each show lived up to the "hype" for me. His injury/illness might have slowed his roll, but I'm not exactly counting him out from competing in the future. Regardless of him competing again, his ability to stay in his lane is very respectable. He's in no rush to do anything and doesn't care what anyone thinks.

Dennis wolf, Dennis James, Paul dillet, Lee priest, Jason Huh! For your next top five who didn't live up to the hype. . . I remember reading in magazines 10 years ago that it was just a matter of time until Dennis wolf became mr. Olympia and then obviously we see what happened with that. Paul dillet because if he learn how to post correctly and get his conditioning in order a lot of people kind of assumed that he was going to be mr. Olympia. Jason Huh because he was one of the first mass monsters that can make his physique look aesthetic by doing a vacuum but also he was just a crazy bodybuilder in general. Awesome video man!

I cannot imagine what he went through mentally and the strength required to not only get through such a process esp having been at the top of his game when the injury occurred. Going from such strength to not being able to even walk to returning to successfully competing again on the professional stage is simply amazing and a massive achievement! Respect

Great video Nick! But what about Victor Richards?!? I’m sure you’ve heard of him. Guy was an absolute MONSTER. There’s actually a recent KZbin video where Jay Cutler talks about him, and mentioned how he was the most freakiest bodybuilder he’d ever seen.

Had never heard of the last guy but boy is he a total freak. That photo at 15:23 shows how insane he is. The flare in the lats, the tricep hang, the tight waist, the bulky quads and calves. Sad he quit but good for him doing so well in such a short time

I've trained alongside Zak Khan at his gym and the weights he was throwing around was insane. He used to have to make his own dumbbells out of concrete and steel because he couldn't get his hands on heavy dumbbells at the time.

I’m 29 and you’re making me feel OLD Nick ! Lol I’m only clicking because I saw Zack Khan on the thumbnail. In England he was pushed heavily and I remember him in Flex magazine . But yeah I’ll never forget his mad size when he first burst on the scene. Wonder what he’s doing now. Imagine a guy of that size working in Sainsbury’s or Tesco.

@@markwood9987 lol. No it comes down to facts. Both at there peak Ronnie had 24" arms and Jay had 23" arms. So yes Ronnie had bigger arms but nothing dramatic like your talking about. Jay always had better triceps by a long shot, and vice versa with biceps. That was Ronnie all day.

Victor Martinez hands down... well, we all know about 2007, but I am almost 100% sure that if he had won Mr. O in 2007, his career and life would have taken in a completely different route. He had the potential to win Mr. O multiple times, only if he had won this 2007 Mr. O and didn't have the immigration troubles afterwards. All these things affected him mentally and he couldn't bring this 2007 package again. He is probably the only bodybuilder that I feel really bad for because his career could have taken a completely different and more successful route and he deserved it.
