It’s a serendipity that I just finished a bench hypertrophy day with 175x10,8,6 (touch and go’s for the 10 and 8, pause reps for the 6). Singles are next week.

5:30 that guy never benched 410 in his life. No way you get that weak from that level in 4 months.

He never benched over 300 lbs in his life. That dude couldn't bench half of what he claimed. 300 = 225 X 10

To be fair, he didn't say he could bench that for months ago. He said he hadn't been to the gym in 4 months and that was able to lift 410 "way back". Still probably a lie, though.

I loved the episode! However, I think its important to acknowledge that especially for the stronger lifters, this could get very dangerous
@samk96322 жыл бұрын
Looks like he let them warm up a bit unlike the other ones Also he's spotting them, and most people that can confidently bench 3 plates will not get hurt from it
@gagestewart5912 жыл бұрын
@@samk9632 trust me, you can get hurt from anything. Ive seen guys seriously injure their shoulders pressing half their max. I've hurt myself benching 225 even with a max of 300+. Especially without a rigorous warmup, benching over 300 can be extremely dangerous. Ultimately, they did say yes, so it's their responsibility, but I'd definitely try 300 for 300$, even though it's dangerous

@@gagestewart591 yeah fair enough I'm young and spry and a 300+ bencher myself so I take that a bit for granted sometimes
@gagestewart5912 жыл бұрын
@@samk9632 definitely. Not saying you're LIKELY to get hurt, but please be careful. Age protects us a little, but the weight still demands respect, lest you risk your lifting career, and possibly your life 😅

@@gagestewart591 you hear about that time a woman got pinned between a bench and a smith machine bar loaded with 400lbs and died? shit's wild, being safe and not being an idiot is paramount. this stuff gets crazy.

You have good ideas and all brother, but I suggest that you stick to videos where the value earned is dependent on how much the person commits, like this one, and the penny one. They are addictive to watch and to see the people actually try since it means more money potential. You should do more in that kind of vein, but find ways to make it fun fitness challenges =)
