I am not a runner but I could clearly notice the massive kick Evan had at the end to catch Cody. I feel like you described it perfectly by saying it is lethal. I couldn’t believe the push he had after running a 4:42 mile pace. His lactic acid threshold is through the roof!

I did this "elimination race" during 3rd grade basketball conditioning except it was with two teams at opposite corners of the court. I was super slow back then and it was complete torture. I almost puked after. This video brought back memories I completely forgot about lmao.

This is such a cool concept for a race! As a former sprinter, I'd love to see the craziness of doing 8 runners every 50 meters. As a former hurdler, I'd love to see some hurdles in the way as well (the true kryptonite of all my distance running friends)! That would be a great equalizer!

@Nick Symmonds, I did some thinking on the strategy here...because Evan had such crazy endurance, the ONLY way you all could have beat him was if everyone started sprinting at the beginning. But that sprinter couldn't have gotten Evan given his 100m head start, so this was actually heavily weighted in Evan's favor! I don't have a problem with that...I've been rooting for Evan :) But that's the breakdown as far as I could see it, haha. Fun video!
