5k strategy step 1. wear a watch step 2. pick a goal you can achieve step 3. run at that pace step 4. forget the watch for the last mile, and book it
@HeyItsJoe14 жыл бұрын
My strategy is to go out for an "easy run". See I start fast and have a good pace and decide to fuck it and go.as hard as I can for the whole 5k lol
@vargland4584 жыл бұрын
@@HeyItsJoe1 I've ran 10k PRs like that, go out at a comfortably quick pace for the first mile and not bother to slow down.

Facts. Whenever I do a 5k I make sure the first 1.5 miles I keep a steady easy pace and then just full on get after it. It’s easier that way in my experience
@themidnightsingerDonut4 жыл бұрын
@@HeyItsJoe1 lmao the middle school in my town always does a last day 5k thing right kinda like to get kids out and as a fundraiser. So, of course there is an option to actually compete, so I do that. I’m the complete opposite of you man. I’m low key kinda lazy especially if I get bored😂😅. So what I do is I just hang around the middle to back of the runners for the first 1.5 miles. After that for .5 miles I pick up the pace enough to make up some time. And for the last mile I go full out and let me tell you...nothing is funnier than sprinting past the people leading especially since they are our best runners and all guys(I is a girl) like the look on their face is priceless and I don’t think I’ve ever had that many curses yelled at me before. Sorry just a funny story I wanted to share😂

When i did my 5th grade track meet, i got first place in both events. I love thinking about it cause i did the 100 meter dash and the medley relay. I totally smashed the 100 meters and left everyone in the dust. Once I came back to the risers, all the teachers called me "Legs". It sounded kinda weird but that was fine. Then when i did the medley relay, i was the last 100 meters to run. I didnt really have to try because we were already 100% going to win. It was super epic when everybody in ur school cheers except for the other schools that are sad lol. Its such an achieving moment. Thats why i love to think about it.

He does, he just doesn’t post because he’s not sure he has the video editing skills, but I’d still watch it anyways. 🤷♂️

I really like the 5k version of the Symmonds Olympics because it features each of the best runners so well.

No one was wearing their face mask during the race. Thats one of the most important times to wear your face mask. You are breathing heavier are more often when you are running. Thanks for giving people face masks, but maybe make it required to wear a mask during the race next time! The masks you gave them are great for running by the way.

Agreed. Keep safe guys until its safe to exercise in groups.Virus can spread further from mouth if coughing , sneezing , shouting and exerting yourself.Then the virus can travel in the air 25ft .Hardly anyone had masks on when running.Exercise on your own , yes, but not like this. I am from the UK and had a number of friends all over Europe and many are not with us any more because of this virus.They were fit and young, so please take care.

You wouldn’t be able to breath with a mask on while running 😂
@calfan83334 жыл бұрын
@@averilmarie The ones that Nick gave out are perfect for running. I am a runner myself and run with one everyday. Additionally, they were not social distancing which gives even more reason to wear the masks he gave out.
