As always - great selection of personally picked games, with the story behind. That's why I love this channel. In my previous comments I already said that - in the past, as a kid, I only had C64, then Amiga, then PC / PSX (because in former communist country I lived in these systems were most popular because of piracy. We didn't know SNES, MegaDrive, GBA / GBC - because cartridges costed like probably 1 month salary ;p ). Thanks to your channel, now when im old ;p, I can learn about these systems, find best games from childhood / past / nostalgy reasons etc. :), not some generic titles that probably even chat gpt can give (haven't tried that though ;) ) - don't need to watch youtubers xD.

Oooh, fun new series! I have to thank you for getting me into the Umihara Kawase series. I also started getting interested in the Cotton series, which has an entry that features Kawase. There are so many great retro games out there that I never knew of! People do owe it to themselves to at least learn more about some of these!🙏

Great vid! Plok is well known for its stellar and music which is a cut above almost all other snes games. The same wizard did pictionary for nes, and you wouldnt believe how good that soundtrack is. Definitely some interesring games mentioned here. I love trackmania, and I'll definitely check out that screamer 2 game

Loved this vid! It's so rare that KZbinrs make videos on games i haven't heard of, but I havent heard of at least half of what was here (and some of the stuff that I *had* heard of was only bc you've mentioned it before in a different video lol). Would love to hear you talk more about Touhou, I've always been very intrigued by the series and have never really understood how an indie shmup series has blown up into such a beloved franchise. Also I'd somehow never even heard of the Gizmondo but I guess thats another unicorn find for me now! I love weird niche handhelds like that so it's now my goal to track one down someday.

This video series started out great! Loved hearing your reflections. Gizmondo was a strange beast, remember it well especially since it was from here in Sweden. When it died out I read some about the company’s ties with organised crime, very weird times. I take your word for having some cool games though! And I support your statement about Scramble, may be the best on the system. Incredible game with superb graphics and mesmerising sound. The Fortress of Narzod is really good too.

The story behind the Gizmondo is so crazy! Definitely need to do a video on it soon! The Vectrex is so cool too but kind of hard to show on video. There’s a bunch of unique games and I love how quick they all are to play, as it’s basically an arcade system

Didn't know about RoboTrek on the SNES going 2 have to get it this Christmas for my Pokemon Friend! Need to see if he has a SNES though. if not, then he can just play it at my house when i get it!! Ha-Ha! Love PLOK on the SNES! Wish i knew about it sooner, but i only got SNES games with the word SUPER on the title. it was much later that i expanded my games for the SNES. TrackMania is an awesome Video Game seeing those roads arch up for no reason at all was awesome! Thanks for the Retro Break & Good Bye!

One of my all favorite games is Apprentice but it is on Amiga 500 and completely different game. May not look much, even by 1990's standard, but it's great game (at least in my opinion) Plus it has music by Chris Huelsbeck.

You need to play Screamer Rally. It's basically Screamer 3 with more rally goodness. It's great and is more or less as good as Screamer 2.
