i'm going to have to get my hands on that 4 in 1 Sachen Game Boy Cartridge as that Street Rider looks a lot like one of my favorite Arcade Games of all time Rally-X. Plus for whatever reason i really want to learn how to play Reversi & it looks like it has that on there as well. i learned how to play Backgammon playing the video game version. in fact i learned majority of my board games & or card games from playing the video games 1st. Thanks for the Retro Break!

3:38 I have two of those SN30 controllers that do that. I could only fix it by shorting the battery terminals briefly to force a reset. Ended up adding a button to the back of the controller to make this easier.

It probably doesn’t help that those are fairly old controllers. I tried using a bunch of 8bitdo controllers with my dock and the few issues I had were usually with the older ones. No problem with most of the current ones.

It is quite old now. Had it since 2018 I think.. maybe it’s time to get a new one. Any idea which one is recommended for the analogue pocket dock? I’ll use it exclusively for that.
@syltendo11 күн бұрын
@ I personally use either a 2.4g SN30 or 2.4g M30. Note that both require a dedicated firmware specifically for the dock. I also sometimes use an 8bitdo bluetooth ultimate controller or a Wii U pro controller. They all work great.

I played Soul Blazer back in 2023 and loved it! It’s why I’m playing Illusion of Gaia/Time now. It’s cool hearing some familiar sound effects. OH and this afternoon we did the three weeks on the raft scene!
@RetroBreak11 күн бұрын
Awesome! Hope you’re enjoying it! Most of the Quintet games share some sound effects, and the font is usually the same too!

Maybe I'm insane, but I genuinely didn't think the Xbox version of Rocket Knight was that bad, in fact I had fun with it 😂

Maybe I need to play it again… I have it on steam too, but have bad memories of it 😂

Recently found your channel and have been loving it. You are way more my style of gamer than most other youtubers ive seen. Ive never written down so many games to check out later than when i watch these videos. It also shows you know and have actually played these games rather than just looking up some random rare info on lesser known titles. Your passion comes through loud and clear! Im also a big tetris fan, and pretty darn good at it(hehe), and im excited to try tetris plus and some of these other random tetris style games like super gussun. Have you played Chime? Not the sequel, mistakes were made. Probably my second favourite polyomino game, maybe number 1. Also, polarium, gba or ds versions are both great. I know you have mentioned kuru kuru kururin. Not sure if people realize that game is designed for speedruns of sorts. Beating a level is great but beating the time record is an amazing feeling to get right. If i think of more ill bring them up later. One other side inquiry. In another video you mentioned a qix like game which brought up memories of another qix clone, i would assume, that i used to play at a pizza shop. But the reveal images were scantily clad women. Now say what you want about that theme, but i lovvveeeddddd that game as a kid/teen. Yes i am just a man, hehe, but it is such a strong and happy memory i have. And props to my mom for hooking me up with quarters even though she knew what was up, bwahahaha! (Edit)Just realizedi didnt actually ask if you have seen this version, that was the inquiry.

Nice! In recent years, we've been quite into the WonderSwan. We'll have to check out your deep dive, but Gunpey is marvellous. SoulBlazer is a fantastic game for SNES, we think it ticks all the right boxes & it's a bonus that the music is great. Lastly we really should play Shockman Zero, Quite envious of your physical release from the visit to Japan. Keep up the great work 👍

So this is going to be a fun comment. What a lot of crap that I would never buy, haha, but I'm very grateful that you did and made this content for us. It's very interesting to know all the types of 'pocket games' that were made back in the day trying to shadow the mighty Game Boy. And to think that people invested a lot of energy into those. I'm gonna assume all of them were coded in Assembly. That's no easy task. So, in a way, or maybe in more than a way, they all have a value. Thanks!

Is that a knockoff 8bitdo SN30 controller? I keep seeing that color design on Aliexpress, but when checking on 8bitdo homepage, it is not listed. You might want to use a real 8bitdo controller...

It’s definitely real, I bought it from their site when it was new back in 2018.. I guess it’s discontinued?
