I love this mat setup. This format is also easier to watch, but it was a mistake to run cji at the same time as adcc. I hope this takes off. Nothing is worse than 10 mins of handfighting with the long match times.
@lukaslorenc4 ай бұрын
why was it mistake? its the whole shtick :)
@ZebulonPottery4 ай бұрын
@lukaslorenc I don't think it matters if you stack cji/adcc at the same time. I think the pressure of paying your athletes can only be applied if two things happen. 1. People don't watch adcc and cji takes enough market share to force a change. 2. Athletes refuse to go to adcc. If Craig Jones can afford to keep this up, he might take a large market share. The prestige of winning cji may one day trump adcc. Running them at the same time only dilutes the competition. So it's hard to say who the best is because you can argue the best might not have been at one vs. the other. If Craig Jones took a massive loss and can't keep the cji running, the adcc will just say the sport doesn't make enough money to pay athletes.

Not necessarily, Jorge had a one dimensional guy in front of him. He predicted an immediate level change right out of the gate. So he practiced that knee and it paid off it went as he anticipated. He didn't know for sure it would go like that just highly likely it would.
@charlesdean033 ай бұрын
@@KendraCampbell-xz9xu you are concentrating on the one dimensional thing then my real argument do you think it's practical fighting? Do you think these guys are also not one dimensional??

@@charlesdean03the first guy was wrong as well. Of course in this case they’re one dimensional but it’s in jiujitsu, should it be MMA all they have to do is get a takedown then it’d be over for the MMA fighter

His last match was pretty bad, and Nicky dominated the CJI. I think Nicky would get it.
@celica964 ай бұрын
In this CJI format with pit and rounds and open scoring I believe nicky rod wins. With the no time limit sub only I think Gordon Ryan still wins. Basically i think Nicky rod can win by scoring not submission
