Nicky Rod had gotten incredibly boring now that his youth and athleticism aren’t getting him to the finish line now, he went from one of the most dynamic competitors to one of the most lay and pray cagey boring people, he just isn’t bright enough to be a submission artist and I think he knows it

@@MuayChaiyaJustin I think that he's just collecting paychecks and trying to stay healthy for ADCC. All the B team guys really care about is winning ADCC. The other events are just paddling their bank accounts. If you watch Nicky Rod compete in ADCC vs other events, he is a completely different animal. I think it's smart, the prestige of winning ADCC will allow him to bank on his name for a long time. Also, he is still young and very athletic, that's just silly to think otherwise.

Nicky Rod layed and prayed on Mason for the entire match until the last 90 seconds. He didnt even tried to attack only reacted Masons constant attacks/sweeps.

Not true at all. Nicky was constantly trying to pass his guard. Mason just did a good job with recovering his guard after Nicky would get to chest-to-chest half with his body lock.

A knockout is rare at the elite levels in striking because the skill level is so high. A submission in grappling is the equivalent to a knockout. The more popular the sport gets, the rarer submissions in competition will become.
