Candy King is so well done. I use Dunkmaster the most because I am a big NBA fan, but Candy King is special. It looks visually more interesting than the rest of the candy skins imo. Cupcake daisy is just too perfect, and the sound effects are so goofy and whimsical they sound like they were ripped out of a pixar movie.

Old God was a gift. As you say, the voice filter and slight adjustments in tone on its VO do wonders for making 'cute' lines menacing, and I think the choice to just reverse the ones that couldn't be un-cute-ified was a stroke of genius.

500k+ Ivern Main here! A friend of mine bought me Ivern and the Candy King Skin on release and I've never used Iverns classic skin once. I own all his skins and find myself bouncing between them a lot because they all have something to bring to the table in my eyes. I have a lot of nostalgia for Candy King. Whenever I wanna be in a good mood, or use an Ivern skin that I think is just designed so brilliantly, whimsically, and humorously that one is definitely a go to. It might be my favorite, and the only reason I don't use it more is because it was the only skin I COULD use for 3 years. I love Dunk Master too, however in ranked games I try to avoid using it BECAUSE of the sound design. As funny as it is, I know my mid laner has to be furious listening to an audience chant "Lets go! Clap clap clap" followed by a loud buzzer because I'm doing raptors and with the fragility of league mentals they don't need that on top of it. I usually go the limeade sprite chroma, but I also bought the whole pack just to have the red one and be Wilt from Fosters Home. Old God is a goated Ivern skin, and I definitely find myself using that one a lot, especially because of the chromas for it. I can use the gold chroma to be the Erdtree, I can use the white one to be a skeleton, I like how the blue one looks. They're all so very good and this skin obviously deserves very high praise for providing something unique and creepy to break things up between the other skins. And the Astronaut Skin tickles me a lot because I'm a huge Evangelion fan, so getting to use the Unit 1 chroma while I bounce around the rift is a lot of fun. Plus the theramin sound effects always make me chuckle. I also love going this skin when I have an astronaut nautilus in my game, and we get to roam around double supporting our friends on the rift. Would've been a 10/10 skin if the jungle camps were obviously beamed up to a space ship, which is what I've wanted out of an Astronaut/Alien Invader Ivern skin for a very long time.

I recommend trying the Green chroma with Old God Ivern. It feels like an Elderwood version, like base Ivern but a bit more monstruous and it became my favourite look for the champion.

So happy to see this video! I'm almost m6 on Ivern and I can agree that I think old god is the best. I really love the elderwood/coven lore even though some of it is convoluted. I also really love the splash art, the fact that he is so huge compared to Morgana is amazing. Also the reversed voice lines are the best, I wish the other old god skins got that too tbh

I climbed from silver to the very top of gold playing nothing but ivern jungle and I have to say my absolute favorite skin is dunk master. I love that the chroma affects his spell effects since most of his spell effects are basketballs which are models. I love the team logos on the backs of the jerseys of him and Daisy. I love that when you Call out Daisy A ref blows a giant whistle and she slams in period

Yea honestly Candy King Ivern has always been my favorite. The recall animation is funny, the design is goofy and creative, and I have a weakness for this sort of colorful sweets aesthetic in the Sugar Rush skinline

As a fellow ivern main my two favorite skins to use are his astronaut and elderwood, the atronaut one is so cute and daisy is wonderful, the skin makes me giggle and I adore the particle effects on it also I believe his head thingy is meant to be O2 valves but that’s just my guess!

I wonder whether it'd be possible to make a hapless gardener skin for him that could work like Forecast Janna. Have him give this beleagured sigh (ha! "beleagured" in League!) when he pops up brush, because that's more grass he has to mow, that kind of thing. It'd probably be too much work to get the concept across. But as you pointed out with Astronaut, there's a broad problem with the visual language of his animations being so unique. Making him instantly recognizable as Ivern and expressing anything but "goofy treefather" is tough!
