It makes me so sad to think about when Nico first appeared as a happy, excited child. And then thinking about how he turned out, it makes me wonder if young Nico knew what was going to happen to him. It also makes me so sad to think that when Rick Riordan dies, we won't have any more of these characters from their creator. These books will eventually fade away. And generations from now won't get to meet this beautiful young man. All of them, Percy, Annabeth, whoever, they're great. Not great; incredible. You know you're a good author when you can make fans cry actual tears when something bad happens to them.

I know it is weird, but I have watched this like every night for the past month, singing alon with it, while tears drip down my face. SPOILERS FOR TRIALS OF APOLLO AHEAD I'm so glad that Nico finally came out and dating Will, a boy that he truly loves and loves him back. Solangelo is my favorite pairing because it shows that you can finally find happiness after going through so much pain and suffering.

I’m going through therapy right now and I had a really hard session. I was writing some stuff down, and I realized I was just spiraling and writing stuff that made me feel like shit. And my therapist has told me that’s not healthy and to do something that makes me feel better. This song does that, and for some reason the lines “there’s no logic in your sadness/you don’t gain a single thing from misery” really resonated with me. I have an issue where I find a lot of self worth in my self imposed suffering, and I interpreted those lines as “your sadness isn’t rationality telling you the truth. You don’t only have worth if you’re suffering and sad.” It brought me to a much brighter place and I wanted to verbalize that.

I loved a small similarity (at least I think) between me and Rick's writing, we put the characters we love most through the most trial's, because we love them and we also make other people realize how much the character is hurting.
