City’s players do not appear to realize they are playing with the most prolific striker in world football. Haaland’s towering header goal over a World Class center back like Saliba yesterday speaks for itself. But why City’s players appear determined not to regularly service a generational beast like Haaland is genuinely baffling to watch. Nunes in particular appeared more determined to set a world record for a right back playing backward passes in a single match yesterday than actually providing any sort of attacking threat or service. Pep’s backward and sideways passing system seriously needs to evolve. And his players need to actually have the courage to consistently service Haaland. Instead of just putting their foot on the ball and safely passing backwards and sideways.

They lose possession by playing constant passes to Haaland then get beat on the counterattack. So City wait for the perfect pass to Haaland.
@1stand1113 сағат бұрын
@@hairyhands8259 The simple fix is to sit in deeper and play on the counterattack. Like they did in the second half last weekend against Chelsea. Contrary to what a lot of people who only watch the Premier League realize, Haaland is much more than a penalty box poacher. He’s one of the most, if not the single most, dangerous attacking players on the counterattack and in open space. People who actually saw him at Dortmund and Salzburg have known that for years and laughed at all the "tap in merchant" trolls who very clearly never watched Haaland before he came to England.

Since then, it felt like, Barca did not let him go because they didnt rate him, they had to let him go because Xavi wanted experience more than talent. Some of these decision is why I never wanted Xavi to stay any more at Barca.
@josephajibowo-wp2rw12 сағат бұрын
After watching a few clips (with Porto and Barca) of Nico, I'm beginning to think he could be a very very smart signing for City. Physically, he's built like Rodri. Has energy, covers ground powerfully and uses his body well. Could tackle and close people down well. He has a good defensive brain. What is obvious though is that he's not in the same class as Rodri in dominating the game from deep with passes. But playing for City will simplify his tasks because it will suit him more than Porto's. Zubimendi might be rated higher right now, but I think he would have been the wrong candidate as a Rodri replacement. Zubimendi is a better passer and technician at the base of midfield, but what Zubimendi lacks is a Rodri-like physicality in midfield. That's an attribute he'll never be able to acquire. Nico has the ingredients to reach Rodri because he's built like him. We'll need to see him play with City to understand how far below Rodri he is in the playmaking department. Rodri wasn't in the same class as Fernandinho when he joined City. With Kova and Nico, City have might have the ingredients to be really competitive against Real's counters in the UCL. We might have a real contest afteall.

Txiki and the board were pathetic in this window. Literally wait till the last day of the window to exercise the release clause after we’ve been dying for a DM since mid Oct when it was crystal clear we couldn’t hack it without a proper Rodri cover. Really? Absolute disgrace. Those bozos shouldve triggered the release clause on Jan 2nd and had Gonzalez in by the 5th. Just imagine how much help he could’ve offered to us as we pissed away Jan in the CL and PL. Shambolic mess So happy that penny pinching release clause happy fool Txiki is finally out of here as he stayed too long. He was great for nearly his whole career but then sh** the bed the last 2 years. SMH. Praying the same doesn’t turn out to be true with Pep🤞

@ it’s not racism. There’s a reason why black players don’t dominate tennis, swimming, table tennis but dominate tracks, athletics, American football etc. but it is clear that Pep unlike Liverpool and Arsenal is more interested in ball passers than runners.

United literally spent 250 mil this season, what are you even talking about?
@russellward462413 сағат бұрын
It's simple. 1 they spent nothing in the summer. 2, they sold 100m worth of players in the summer, and 100m in each of the previous 4 seasons. Plus won the UCL and won the league 4xs. It's not that hard to comprehend.
@tonisosic507512 сағат бұрын
Simple,because they sell well and they just reinvest plus they spent 0 in the summer while United spent like a trillion😂😂😂
@CircumNet12 сағат бұрын
@@JohnWick-bi7um United hasn’t generated revenue. To balance their expenses. United are clearing “cap space” like Rashford and Antony. United are in Europa. United are renovating their stadium. United just signed a new coach who needs to clear out dead wood like Casemiro and bring young ones. United brought in Dorgu and would still do business in future. So for the position they’ve spent well.

Very very very average player. Honestly, City haven't bought a great prospect in ages. Douglas Luiz is a much much better player than Nico. Honestly, a loan from Juventus for him would have made sense. Douglas Luiz was one of the best DMs in the PL when he was with Villa. Luiz is actually more than a DM, he was really a neat player that could do everything to a high level.
@CircumNet13 сағат бұрын
Douglas Luis in 2025. He’s a year or 3 close to been in Gundogan convos. He’s in his late prime now and Juve are trying to squeeze what’s left of him

@@russellward4624 Even Villa starts Boubucar Kamara over him. He’s that washed now. City got a good player though he’s one of the best in an average league. But that’s better than Gundo or Bernardo. Kovacic these days is like a 1 man army facing lot of attack. He needs a double pivot partner. As for City CB. Akanji and Stones are ball carrying CB. That means they need a Dias, Rudiger to partner well. Dias used to do the dirty work most times now it’s showing even against PSG. Bayern is one team that has that problem

I've watched more clips of Nico and I'm now a tad more optimistic about him. As for Luis, I've been following that. He's playing badly but that's due to Juventus and not him.
