Was really bummed that Nico didnt have a senior track season. There were so many great runners, Nico, Daschbach, Sprout, Strangio, Schoope. Looking forward to having something similar with this '22 season of NP runners! If Colin and Lex had been pacing off sprout for 3000m i think they both couldve got that 8:40 this past track season. Gonna have at least 2 Nicos this year in XC and the 3200, Leo and Aaron are gonna be cleaning up in the mile. Hoping most of all to see a Colin Sahlman, Rheinhardt Harrison, Gavin Sherry, Larry Josh Edwards showdown mile kinda like the quarantine classico last year. Definitly think all those guys have a shot at breaking 4, more than 1 in one race would be the first time in history I think. Lot to look forward to!

Sometimes depend on what the run is and how many people we are with. If it’s just me and Leo we will bring a small JBL clip speaker with us. If we’re alone we’ll usually use AirPods.

Nice to finally to hear a voice with the face !! Now NICO is FINALLY NOT that "mystical" figure on the screen. I had no idea NICO had a brother either. But great video, the music ratio was very good. Many Tubers play music way too loud and like the other day, I was listening to a video unrelated to this channel, and I could not understand the narrator because the music was too high. My feeling is, if I want to listen to music, I'll watch a music video - just about every song known to man is somewhere on the Tube. However, if the video is non musician related, I don't mind a "pinch" of music. You SPRINKLE salt on your popcorn. You DON'T sprinkle popcorn on your salt. I went ahead and subbed to your channel !!

Thanks we focus highly on production quality. Good way of putting it with the popcorn metaphor, I love that.

Nice content. Example of what the runners are thinking during a race - while competing with the best of the best. I think your start was fine. Were you looking to shoot out like a cannon? At this level - wouldn't that just be a waste of energy - given that, at this level - even if you jumped out to 10 meter lead - everyone else would have just reeled you in. Also, shooting out too quickly just sends a signal to the other runners - that you're the new inexperienced guy. It's not about how you start a race, it's about how you position yourself during a race (not getting spit out the back), and how you finish the race. Matt Tegenkamp (12:58 - 5,000/ 8:07 - 2 mile)) had it right - as he said some years ago - you have to be ready to suffer. You will not be able to compete with the best of the best - unless you are mentally (and physically) prepared to go to the pain cave.

Which high socks did Nico use during the trials?

He doesn't know for sure what model, but most likely a pair of high adidas racing socks.
