They could. They would most likely keep to the coastal areas in southern Florida due to the winters being more to their liking there. However, they do roost in flocks on forested small islands and the absence of such a specific environment might be challenging for them. They also tend to eat seeds and fruits but should be able to survive off of grains like rock doves.
