I actually did this myself and I found some interesting things: - The wooden propellor-like platforms at the beginning of Crisp Climb Castle were there for me. The reason for why they weren’t there for Nico was likely due to the him already collecting the first Shine of CCC, causing the second version to load, which doesn’t have said platforms. - There’s a bonus area somewhat close to Clawswipe Coliseum (northeast of it) that no longer exists at all. - There’s a bonus area close to the clear pipe that takes you to the beginning of Slipskate Slope that doesn’t exist. - The area where you get the Surprise Prizefight shine is collected doesn’t exist. - The large ? Boxes that allow you to get to the entrance of Clawswipe Coliseum after collecting the first shine are still there. + With this is mind, it is likely that the gray blocks that block the entrance to the coliseum for shine 3 can exist and would be unbreakable due to no Bob-Ombs being present. - While not mentioned in the video, the ice that surrounds CCC is no longer present, likely due to it getting in the way of Bowser during the final boss fight. - There’s a brick block with a coin in it where you rescue Blue Toad from a Conkdor (Mount Magmeow), this is probably the most obscure collectible coin in Bowser’s Fury. - There’s a Super Bell in a bubble below the shipwreck ramp that leads to the wasteland area. This is the only Super Bell in a bubble that is present in normal gameplay AND during the final boss sequence.

1 is very true for me. The propellers at the entrance of Crisp Climb Castle was there for me as well What they could have done with the ice near crisp climb castle was they could add it back, and then relocate the boost panels.

Its pretty clear probably due to limitations to make sure the Boss Fight doesn't lag or crash, they removed most Assets, Enemies, Bonus Areas and Coins. Only a few the devs probably forgot to remove like that one brick block and Cat Bell under the ship. Its a similar thing for Fury Bowser vs Giga Cat Mario, where instead of being on the normal map, it loads in a Smaller Lower Res Version of the Map to give the Illusion that your giant, and again, it would cause the game to probably lag or crash if it was on the Normal Map.

Did you know: Using Plessie, you can get up a lot of Mount Magmeow, then you can climb the rest with a cat suit, since there are multiple platforms that can refill Mario's climbing.

I did this myself, and there are some things I have mentioned: Crisp Climb Castle was easy for me to get through. The propellers were all there, even at the beginning, just use a super bell and a tanooki. The Ice that surrounds Crisp Climb Castle is missing. Pipes on the Pipe Path Tower is gone. Mount Magmeow is hard to go up. It was a mission impossible for me, but I figured it out. Use the cat suit, go down a bit, then jump to the cannon to go through the pipe, and mission accomplished! The rest of the areas are easy to go through. It was VERY empty. No corrupted cats, and no hazards.

@@spoo0901 It depends on how you define "stage/level.". By that logic any game that has a free-roaming 3dimensional platforming stage would be open world. And even stipulating such a hub world would include games like Glover. I would argue that the worlds in those games function as levels because they are completely isolated from each other. And while the hub world is much more interactive, I would argue it's really just a glorified level select screen. It gets much murkier in games with metroidvania mechanics, but even then considering how long loading times used to be, Banjo Kazooie is not functionally the same as Skyrim. Even something like Ocarina of Time is generally forcing me to follow a main linear path; I can't play the dungeons in any random order I want despite the world's cohesion. I can definitely see arguments for those types of 3d platformers to be open world, but I would still personally disagree. It might be a "world," but the entirety of the games' universe is closed off to the player at any given time. Not some of it, but the entire rest of the game (especially for sm64 forcing you to select specific star challenges). I would say they are free-roaming, but that is not the same as open-world.

I think that the 100% final bowser loads a different scenario than the 50 shine final bowser. I did something like this a few weeks ago and the wooden platforms in Crisp Climb Tower were still there, and I managed to get up without a catsuit.

That's probably because Nico's Save probably had Crisp Climb loaded in the Shine where the Platforms aren't there. In an 100% Save, the Wooden Platforms are there.
