This video is a love letter to the city we have called home for the past 4 years, Beijing. Unfortunately our time here is coming to an end and before we say our final goodbye we wanted to look back on everything that makes this city so special. So we created this short cinematic intro to show our love for the city.

I love your vlog, this is my first time saw it. Beijing is my first city I’ve visited in China in 2014. I came to Beijing for studied Chinese for 5 months. After that back to Indonesia again. When I’m back to Indonesia, I miss my life in Beijing. I’m falling in love with 🇨🇳. I tried so hard to find a job in China and after 2 years, finally I found a job in Chengdu. And Chengdu is an amazing city, I love their food, peoples are so kind, nature, culture. But after 2.8 years, i need to moved to Shanghai in Dec 2018. So total I’ve been in China 6.5 years, and yeah Beijing and Chengdu are my favorite cities in China. Since this lockdown in Shanghai, I’ve been locked more than 2 months, make me take a difficult decision, i think this year is my time to leave China 🇨🇳. Sad, but live near my family in Indonesia is the best decision.

The cinematography: the composition, the dynamics of colour tones, the transition, and the seemingly "effortless" blending of the visual with the music - such a video poem at the intro...
