Hello Kelly, It’s Lisbeth🌹 in Toronto. LOVE your walkthroughs. I own this beautiful deck. For so long I did not relate to the Marseille, and gave my decks away. The colouration first caught my eye, the expressive faces changes my gravitation toward it. Also, I have the quirky sweet Tarot D’Aux Arts, which is a very arty, differently painted deck, also loved in quite another way!

I love the 'cocker spaniel' strength card. Now that you pointed it out, I'll always see it that way which is cool.Thank you for doing such an indepth review.

I backed this on Kickstarter before I even finished your video lol! Thank you for this! I never liked the bold colors of traditional Marseille decks. I love these colors!

Thank you! We went through 3 revisions to find the right colors. :D

I wish they would have re-drawn something that doesn't already have 50 editions in print. Pierre Madenie from 1709 is a close cousin to Conver but hasn't been published so many times over the years. And that one too is "pretty" so it would appeal to a wider audience, just like Conver.

I can certainly understand the frustration but often when people start such a laborious project they are doing it to something that they love, so the Conver probably holds a special place for them, hopefully they will continue to re-draw other decks as well in the future :) We can hope!

@@TheTruthinStory I have no doubt that it was a labor of love. Otherwise I can't imagine the masochism of re-drawing 78 cards by hand if you don't love them all. :D

We appreciate your comment! We selected the Nicolas Conver Tarot because it's our go to deck for readings. The good news is that we plan on restoring other decks. :-)

@@ArtisanTarot I will love you forever if you start restoring some lesser known decks. Or at least decks that are well known and loved but not re-done often (like Angelo Valla) There are so many beautiful ones out there. :-)

Do I need another Conver deck? Apparently yes... Yes I do... LOL I already have the CBD and the version by Yves Reynaud so what’s 1 more?

Sorry but this is identical to Jodorovsky's restored Marseille tarot
@TheTruthinStory3 жыл бұрын
I don't have Jodorovsky's restored deck to be able to compare them, it was my understanding that he made changes to the originals as well. It also looks like he used two tones of green. Just different ways of pulling in intentions of the old colors :) The more the merrier in keeping these treasures alive and in people's hands.

@@TheTruthinStory what Yodo did is not restoring. Those colours didn't exist in the many original versions of TDM. They just added their personal interpretation.

Thanks for the comment. However, our deck is not identical to the Jodorosky edition. For example, he changed many details, added items (like eggs), and changed and added colors (like purple). You are welcome to join one of our online events to learn about our restoration and see how our deck differs from others.
