The lap time is about 1m48s (lap start at 1:30, finish at 3:18), which is basically the same as MotoGP bikes. Whether that's fast enough or not for a 1,000 bhp track car, I'll leave to you to judge.

Current GT3 cars lap at Mugello around 1:47min which is only 2 seconds slower than the Moto GP best time ever. I'm wondering how much faster than Moto GP these cars are on cornering/braking if you consider how much slower they are on straight #Fact

@@Liander88 Cars can brake later on turns that alongside with faster corner speed gives them advantage over motorcycles on tracks, turns are where cars Win period. But on the straights, motorcycles acelleration, power to weight ratio are a sick match to cars. Even F1 cars cant manage to beat a Motogp at this scenario. I dont even know if they can match a 1000cc production bike. My bet they cant.

1.48 Not bad, but neither near the limit I think. In the Italian GT championship, they lap around 1.45 with FIA GT3 cars, much less hp, but maybe more aerodynamic load.

You are right, but also have to have in count some important points like "setup" which hasn' t been set in this car, this driver wasn't running the car with traction control...just those factors slow the car like at least 3 seconds if not more; and if you are comparing it with those Gt3 cars of 2019 (this fxx k is from 2015 ) also have much more advantage in evolution (4 years )

I don't really get the appeal of cars like this (ie super expensive track day cars). I mean sure they are super impressive on a technical level but I think there are far better options for way less money that will give you a much more enjoyable experience (Caterham, Radical...). But hey maybe if you have the money for a FXX K you already own those other cars as well...

Nope, he did 1.48. In the Italian GT championship, they do around 1.45 with GT3 cars. 3 seconds in motorsport are a huge gap. Probably he isn't on the limit. I mean, much more engine, but probably less aero load, I really don't know who would be faster on Mugello in the same conditions.
