I have a friend who went completely gray at the age of 18. She has the most beautiful head of hair. She never colored it, she just owned it. I highly respect her for just doing her thing and not letting others push her to be different. I have no doubt you're going to rock that silver noggin! Enjoy and keep up the good work!

I understand completely.. am with you!!! I got tired of coloring every 3 weeks. I found my first gray when I was 12 and I was black headed. My hair was long and it made it much easier to cut to shoulder length. I had my beautician put high lights to ease the transition. That helped. Good luck!! It's sooooooo nice not to worry about coloring at anymore!!! 👏🤞

Having gone grey years ago, I applaud your choice. Natural is the way to go. I’ve even seen a trend of people coloring their hair grey! I say grey is the new blond! I get a ton of compliments on my hair. I now just let my hair dry naturally and embrace my natural look. Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with coloring your hair grey during transition. I just let mine grow until it was long enough to cut in a good short cut. I agree. It’s going to be gorgeous!

You Go Girl, I am 58 and have larges patches of silver all over. Went through a bad patch with Alapecia years ago. After it grew back in it changed color. Always self conscious of people looking and asking what's up with the big patch on top of your head. Well learned to love it and accept it because it's me. Thanks for being you and honest about it. Your going to rock it.

You go girl! I used the pandemic as a chance to grow out my color and let mother nature choose the color ... it's been nothing but a positive experience. I teach junior high and the kids are BRUTALLY HONEST and it is a non-issue! Of course, I'm 20 years older than you and my hair is short but it's looking fabulous and I LOVE the money I'm saving not to mention the TIME I'm saving by not having to go through the color process! Proud of you!

I started this process about 8 months ago. I did discuss it with my hairdresser and she suggested the blending. I only had to do it once and it has made the transition practically unnoticeable. I am also a professional and didn’t want to appear unkept. I would recommend letting your salon help you out.

I'm almost a year younger than you and I haven't dyed my hair in years, but recently I have started getting much grayer than I had been. I've also decided to just go grey gracefully and not start dying. It is what it is and I am who I am. You do you lady! If blending is what you want to do go for it! Oh Nicole! Your positivity inspires me constantly. This video was such a surprise but at the same time... I've been dying my hair since I was 13 and am now 52. Back in October I also decided I was done. My grey runs in the family and started around 20. And I have a streak on each side of my head, my right more prominent than the left. It's like you were telling my story. After watching this I realized I need to take photos. I can't wait to see your results. 😍

I started turning gray at age 9! Your hair is YOUR business. You're beautiful inside and out so don't let naysayers make you doubt yourself (even Mom!) When I stopped coloring mine it was because the dye was no longer coloring my hair. Big salon bill and white roots? No thank you! I just let mine grow out until it was long enough for a short style and cut it off, then let it grow long again.

I decided to embrace my grey a few years back. I am 44. I was tired of the time and expense involved in highlighting my hair. I also wanted to get back to my naturally healthy feeling hair. Grow out for me was fairly easy because of my natural hair color and the type of highlights I had. I love my hair now! In terms of blending, I think you should do what you want and what makes you happy. If you want to blend it, go for it girl!

It’s all up to you what you want to do with your hair, and your feelings can change over time and nothing wrong with that either. My mind changes every so often whether to grow a goatee or let the hair on my head grow out more or get highlights which I think I may get for the Summer. I’ve noticed on Facebook most of the guys I grew up with don’t even have hair so I’m very happy to do whatever I please with mine.

I stopped coloring my hair over a year ago. I have quite a bit of grey in the front top area. I do have dirty blonde hair naturally so the grey isn't such a huge contrast as when I used to dye my hair dark brown, BUT it is still very obvious. However, I don't care. I'm loving going natural and my hair is like 10 different colors and I think it looks great. I'll be 42 in May, fyi. I applaud you for doing this. We shouldn't be so scared of what other people will say about us, especially since you know at some point grey hair will be in. I'm so tired of other people saying what is trendy, what looks good, what doesn't. Props to you girl!!!

I started letting it go gray about 6 years ago. My sons mother law said to me that I needed to color my hair before the wedding pictures because when I see the pictures I wouldn’t like myself but I ignored her and I like my hair and I don’t regret it at all. I love how the wedding pictures turned out! my hair texture changed but I’ve learned how to manage it. The worse can happen is that you don’t like it and if you don’t like it you can color it but I think your going to like it! It’s so freeing ! Good luck on you’re going gray journey! Oh I work in medical and I had mine blended once because I didn’t want to look unprofessional so I recommend that you go to your hair salon.

I had a good friend recently go gray and her hair looks amazing - I think even better than before : ) I love your attitude, it's your hair and you do you! It's wonderful that you have such a supportive husband, but what I want to know is what the boys think, as you know kids have no filter they just say what they are thinking. Congrats on your decision and journey! I've been lucky enough that no one has ever said anything about my hair and the natural coloring of grey has been in my favor. With virgin hair, I've got grey on the sides that are white snow and in the back is still black. It's been over 12 years since i visited a hairdresser and glad i let my hair do its own thing. Women despite their decisions, have always been beautiful to me and it breaks my heart when someone says anything insensitive. Makes me sad in fact.

I got my first grey hair when I was 16. I was turning noticeably grey by the time I was 30 and began coloring/covering. Stopped all coloring about 10 years ago (I"m 59 now), and my hair has a wonderful natural color and tone of bright light silver, not quite white. Your hair is beautiful Nicole and by not putting those toxins on your hair which then make their way into the body you'll be healthier for it. And my mother was like that also, negative, negative, negative, and all up in my business which was none of her business.

We are in the same boat. I started getting grey hair at 17yrs old and this past October I decided to stop dying it. I'm 42 and I'm sick of the upkeep! Plus all those chemicals on my scalp can't be good; especially when I have to dye it every 2-3 weeks. So many people make the same comments to me about being too young, it's going to make you look so old, you're gonna hate it, etc. My mother is one of the few who thinks I should just let it go grey. lol! Mine is salt and pepper but mostly salt on top.....it's so white! My mom says it's so pretty. We'll see if I like it after it's grown out but I don't hate it so far. Good luck mama!! ;)
