I remember folks in chat saying that Marisha should have had a chance to roll. I was thinking: "Why? Matt has full control over what Delilah does." In my opinion it was a partial possession. Laudna had no say in the matter, her hand was not her own for those moments.

Totally agree. That scene was born-out through roleplay. It was up to the choices Laudna made rather than the dice. Determining outcomes through roleplay is a totally valid way to play some scenarios. In this instance, knowing the level of communication in this group, I think Marisha was fully prepared for Laudna's actions to have negative consequences based on what she already knows about her patron. Granted, at a table where everyone is less familiar and less trusting, this would not be a good way to resolve such a conflict, but in this instance I think it really heightened the drama in a good way that everyone enjoyed.

Out of all of this creepiness and weirdness and whatever Matt has in mind, Imogen losing trust in Laudna is what breaks all of our hearts. Nothing else going on here holds a candle to that.

Ohhhhh myyyyy GOD! Thank you Nico for the close-up of Imogen's face right after the stone was broken. The expression on Laura's face in that moment is so subtle and so brief that I didn't see it on my first watch, even though my attention was fully fixed on her and Marisha. I didn't see that fleeting moment of rage. That was an amazing tidbit of incredible role-playing that I might not have caught if it wasn't for your masterful editing, so thanks again for your amazing work!

@@elbruces You're right. But most of her journey wasn't shown. My favorite moments from her were missed. Honestly, hearing Marisha's dialogue, seeing "you lied" from Laura and watching Ashley the rest of the time was amazing to me live.

You have to wonder if going forward will Laudna ever be able to trust her own thoughts, when she’s afraid that those thoughts/impulses could possibly be Delilah’s under the guise of being her own? On the Imogen side of things, I wouldn’t be surprised if the next time she has one of her red storm dreams the gnarlrock will be in her hand. Proving that even though it’s gone physically it still has a hold on her, in some sense anyway.

I know! When I saw that look on Laura’s face, I thought she would shove Laudna off the ship with her telekinesis! We all know Imogen got some kind of curse from the Gnarlrock, and now Laudna might have been “resurrected” or something what with that heartbeat feeling in her chest! Can’t wait to see what comes next!

Yeah, I'd say you get it! Imogen probably doesn't understand much of the relationship between Laudna and her patron. Imogen has been receiving personal comfort through this stone for a few episodes. If I had someone do that to me, even unintentionally, even with understanding, I'd still feel upset about it. Especially after Laudna said "I would never do anything to it without your permission." I think the betrayal feeling is completely understandable.

@@A.E.Personal this is why she NEEDS to know. She NEEDS to know the story behind Delilah Briarwood... and to take back her accusation, but that won't happen until she shakes off the gnarlrock. And if it doesn't happen soon, she might lose Laudna to such a horrible misunderstanding.

Well, playing devil's advocate here, Imogen doesn't know who Delilah is, we do. And it wasn't the rock. The rock represented safety for Imogen and Laudna promised not to do anything to it without Imogen's permission. And she lied. Imogen doesn't know if she can trust Laudna anymore. At worse she lied and used the voice in her head as a scapegoat, at best she's telling the truth and Delilah can take over at anytime and do worse.

The Delilah stans are in a fuckin tizzy. They're the same ones who ship Imogen and Laudna (for whatever reason), so they don't know what to do now.
