More than one hundred AI experts onsite and several hundred online convened in Thessaloniki, Greece, for the 4th AI Community Workshop & AIDA Symposium to discuss strategic pathways of European AI in education, generative AI, AI-driven innovations and sustainability of AI developments. 50 speakers in 20 sessions presented or followed up on activities of the ecosystem established around the AI Networks of Excellence Centres (NoEs) in areas of AI, Data and Robotics (ADR). Funded by the European Commission, these nine networks have formed a key element of the AI-made-in-Europe strategy since 2020. Comprising Europe's top researchers, the NoEs focus on developing trustworthy AI that is human-centric, secure, and delivers benefits for all.
This gathering served as a platform to reflect on the achievements of European AI research and to chart the course for future advancements. By fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, the European AI community is well-positioned to solidify its leadership in developing ethical and impactful AI solutions.
