NAZARÉ’S BIGGEST SWELL IN YEARS | MOUNTAINS OF THE SEA

Nazaré just saw one of the biggest and longest swell runs in recent history-massive 9-meter waves, 13-second periods, and brutal 36-knot winds. It was a test of commitment, skill, and sheer will.
Through chaos and power, we found moments of perfection. The Mountains of the Sea team locked into some of the biggest waves of our lives-ones for the history books.
Hold on tight. This is Nazaré at its rawest.

Nevermind! These guys wear all kinds of gear, train, as you'd know, get towed etc etc to maybe half the size of waves 🌊 you take on in Oahu? But then again, who am I to comment because I don't have experience? You can train your brain 🧠 practice makes perfect blah blah but following the commandments laws statues of The Torah or Most High Yahuah, I'm sure you could conquer 200 even 300ft 🌊 waves!!! halleluYAH ❤️

👍👍👍 "...surfers WHO conquer Nazaré..." (or you could say surfers WHOM the waves of Nazaré have conquered!)
@Yahuah780
@Yahuah780 4 күн бұрын
@@freespeech9857 I'd definitely say waves 🌊 of Nazare have conquered them because these surfers aren't really riding the wedge wave deep or really pushing the limits of deep surfing (that being said, they're tonnes better than me). Nazare is a relatively new spot to surf but some of the more well recognised or not surfers, are pushing the limits, however if these surfers were surfing a 4-6ft wedge, I'm surf they'd tear it apart but these huge mountains 🏔️ of water - they just don't seem to be..

I'm a snow skier from the age of 6 and have taken a lot of risks over the years: fearless and sometimes stupid, happily still alive. I lived in the LA area, bought a wet suit and board, tried surfing near by ... oh my. The waves hold you under and can just beat you senseless, like jumping into a washing machine. I gave up surfing quickly, Lol; but still ski. As I look at Nazare; I can't fathom it. Just happy most that do this survive. Blessings to all.

That’s a great breakdown. I’m definitely the long &crumbly group. Funny story, when that realization hit me. I went to Cortez Bank. Most amazing, powerful I’d ever seen with my own eyes. Luckily I was a bit older, when younger I’d have gone after it. I just sat on the shoulder, feeling that rumble and said “nah, not for me buddy” there’s that moment when you just know. It’s incredible for me to be able to sit and watch these vids from my couch. We used to have to go over to the surf theater to see this.

You’re mostly going to just hear the wind. You really have to be there to hear the waves. I can tell you from being out in 10 to 12 in California. It sounds like bombs going in the distance. Almost surreal, deep rumbling.
@gregparrott
@gregparrott 3 күн бұрын
@@garyfuller6553 I've been to Pillar Point Harbor (as an observer only), I'm sure that surfing provides a vastly more intense experience. But even from onshore, I STILL welcome hearing the waves. I also saw near Gualala (further north) a windsurfer further offshore, mastering gale force winds and very choppy water. Both disciplines require incredible balance, as well as acclimation to cold water and windchill
